991 GT3 RS Wrecked while at Speed Shop
#496
So yesterday it was sunny and 36 degrees in Chicago. Took out my GT4. I was at a stop light and got on her a little bit and lost the back of the car. Rear snapped out about 3 feet but the nannies and correcting the steering saved my rear(literally). The moral of the story is turning off the nannies and mashing the peddle freaking dangerous and reckless. I even said to Myself that this was stupid what I did plus these tires stink below 45 degrees outside and I should know better. After this occurred it reminded of this thread.

If I had any pity for this shop before, I sure as hell don't now. What the F*C! were they thinking? Ccpax, I'd love to hear what they did to try to "make it harder for you to figure it out". This has to be classic.

I would say that he is losing sleep at night. He's losing sleep because his joy ride days are over.
The highlight of his joyride days was in an RS which he royally screwed up. I would hope that his actions have an impact on his business as well if customers feel the same way.
I wonder what the neighboring businesses have to say about his shop. I'm sure they're used to cars flying up and down the street way over the speed limit all the time in the past.

Even if he does lose only 50% of his clients I would think the cost to insure the business will go up considerably based upon the payout on this claim and the fact that the owner was completely at fault. That combination will likely force him out of the existing location into a smaller location and he will probably lose half or more of his work force.

Was there plastic over the seats?
