100k over MSRP is PTS only and those cars are sitting. Dealers don't mind them on their floors drawing in more visitors. 15-20k over during the winter should get it done and I'm sure there are some even better deals out there with slightly higher miles. I was able to find a car with the exact same options I would have ordered with low miles (1500) so it wasn't a big deal to me.
Remember, most allocations going out are to people that have bought other non-GT cars like Panameras, Turbos/S, Cayennes, Macans, etc. All of those cars have significant depreciation built in. I decided to just pass on eating that depreciation and fueling the "Stealers" machine and pay the premium second hand. It all comes out in the wash.

I promise it never feels "used" every time I get in it.

One thing I notice on rennlist is that people here always like to put out the rumor that Porsche may not be making certain model of their GT cars in the future. Those speculations usually turn out to be wrong. I don't know what their intentions are. May be the prop up the value of the car they current own?

For a new RS? Please post links to those cars. My dealer has a non PTS that last time I checked was still asking over $100k over sticker. Dealers are currently asking $15k over for low mile used GT3s, much less RSs. I found a low mile used '16, low option build close to exactly what I'd want, dealer want's $15k over for it. Prices still haven't dropped much on .1s.

Maybe markets are different, but I'm talking like 400-1500 miles. They might be listed at a certain number just in case a whale walks in, but I know there are guys here who have got it done for 15-20k over. I personally paid 37 over (with full Xpel PPF) but that was this fall when the hype was still big. Honestly, I have zero reservations. Imagining the last 5 months without this car just because I was waiting for a better price seems a bit crazy to me. I've had so many great times driving it. 17k more for all these experiences is personally a bargain. I'm still smitten by the car so the love / emotion kind of overrides all logic.
Everyone that works as hard as most of us do, needs to have a couple things they can blow money on without doing a cost / benefit analysis.

As of today we don't know anything about a possible 991.2rs.

Those of us that are guessing are doing it based on some different facts and adding 1+1=3!

*991.2gt3 will be offered with MT option and 4.0l
991rs/R engine.

*991gt2rs will be 3.8l turbocharged monster 991.1rs. Mag roof/CF fenders etc,etc Released this fall? Hopefully production start Jan 2018.

One question is? When will the regular 992 be launched? Fall of 2018? 991.2 was launched fall 2015.

What can Porsche do to "upgrade" the 991.2rs with the 4.0l engine? They probably have a few tricks up their sleeves but IMO they have done pretty much everything they can with lightweight material in the 991.1rs platform. Personally can't see a 4.2l engine (as some have speculated). They have been thru enough trouble with 991.1gt3 E/F engines.

The only 991.2rs I see possible is the bare bones limited edition "cup edition" with the same 4.0l engine and completely stripped out.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but people were saying 997.1RS would be the only RS ever made and they were being sold way above msrp as a result. Obviously that wasn't true....

Correct^

Same as 991.1gt3 being the last N/A, 991rs being the last N/A RS, 997.2rs being the last MT. We can go on for ever.

You live in the worst area to buy a car, Elysium. Try looking outside of the People's Republic of CA.

Didn't they basically release the 991.2 cars late last year? I think the 992 GT cars won't be here till 2020+ so that leaves plenty of time for a GT3, GT2, GT3RS, and another GT4.

Agree!

Go north and pick one up before that deal dries up.

After waiting a year plus I finally got one and never thought it would be as good as it is - Porsche nailed it.

^^^ Unless I'm in error, Cars.com has several .1 RSs at MSRP, a couple/few under $200k. Happy hunting. Elapsed time and Porsche's silly antics has finally got me over the .1 RS hype. I'm no longer interested. I'm patiently waiting for the next best thing...

Cheers/B

I'm searching nationwide and finding no difference at all between the pricing here and elsewhere. The car I'm kinda interested in is in the Midwest, but the price is nuts for a used car.

You are in error. None of the cars that show the MSRP are actually being offered at MSRP. It's just a default. The dealer just hasn't posted the true asking price.

Agree. Once you call those dealers it's certainly a completely price.
