Interesting thread Guys!! Immediately after I picked up my 2016 GT3 last year, I put a deposit for a .2 GT3 RS. I paid msrp on my GT3 and my dealer never mentioned that I would have to pay above msrp on my future .2 RS. I hope that Porsche does build the .2 RS and I hope the positive relationship with my dealer will avoid the above msrp issue on the .2 RS!! For now, drive and enjoy the GT3!!!!

So how much over MSRP was it?

He never responded, but in full disclosure I let him know that I thought the RS was too much car for my skills and wasn't interested in one right now. I may change my mind on that at some point though. If my dealership dropped the price on theirs to sticker, I'd be sorely tempted, but I don't think that's going to happen. I keep asking about the car though. It was originally priced at $175k over and now it's down to just $75k over...

My guess is that Rector is looking for a premium on their car, as if they were selling at MSRP, I'd bet they'd have plenty of existing customers they'd offer it to, rather than me, as I have no relationship with that dealership. I've had a few positive interactions with them, but no car purchases.

Thanks, at $175 over it must have been some PTS wasn't it?

Is it even clear at this point if there will be a 991.2 RS?

Nope, I think the ask on their PTS was even higher than that. This one is pedestrian GT Silver. They had a number of RS's and I think they sold all but this one.

I looked at the GT Silver at Rector 2 weeks ago. They were ask 35-40K over MSRP. Plus the car does not have PCCB option.
Car is no longer listed on their inventory.
Stevens Creek still have GT Silver RS listed.

I really like GT Silver on the RS, so what are people paying over sticker these days? I see listings but nobody talks about sales.

Everyone wants a winning lottery ticket. (Ie in demand cars at list price so they can resell or at least on paper be in the money at purchase)
Who wouldn't!

However, I'm not sure the next "rs" will be as in demand after the carnage is done from the current car and the "fools gold" that has taken place.

There are a lot of folks who have cars that think their space in history is solidified because there is an rs on the badge. Premiums have been charged and paid.

History will judge.

All of this list talk cracks me up frankly.

It's still at SC; $75k over starts the discussion I'm told. Nice car.

My dealer called me today and said that for 991.2 GT3RS allocations will be announced in May 2017 and GT2RS allocations will on November 2017 !
I have both deposits

He Confirmed that he talked with the factory.

Also he asked me if I want to put deposit for 2019 Speedster GT (it will be with manual gearbox and manual soft top)

Interesting. Looks like your dealer is hungry for interest free deposits

Congrats!!! I couldn't get on this list but I did put a deposit on the next list. I can't wait for the next round of free money.
