I agree with the OP. I would also love to get a 991.2 RS, but have no intention of buying a .1 and paying the absurd mark up. If they don't make a .2, I won't be heartbroken. For those who suggest a GT3; when your heart is set on an RS, nothing else will suffice.

One 991.1RS @ +/- MSRP in the hand is better than two pipe dream 991.2RS's in the bush.

You're better off buying a .1 RS now, as most have stated, there may never be another 3RS.

I get that.

I am betting on that this Gen, 991RS , will be last NA GT3 RS.

Could be. What will the next RS be if not NA? 918 Technology?

At this point, I'm not certain porsche will have enough time to release a 991.2 RS. We got the gt3 coming later this year, then its the gt2 probably in early 2018. Isn't the 992 suppose to be revealed in 2018 as a 2019 model?

To everyone in the thread. I have no issues buying a 991.1 GT3RS. The issue I have is paying 40k+ markup on a car. I'm sure a lot on here could bite that market adjustment with no problem, but for me I could, but I wouldn't feel good about it. There are still some dealers asking close to 100k over asking.

You can get one under $200k start offering.
You can't go wrong at that price unless the bottom falls out of the entire economy.

On the other hand once inventory dries up and there is no more RS for sale prices may keep increasing.

Why wouldn't there be a 991.2 RS?

If both 997.1 and 997.2 both got an RS'ss (.2 even got 2!!) and they have people lining up all day to pay twice over asking, why would they skip the .2 RS for the first time in over 10 years? Not gona happen. Porsche is not going to miss out on that easy $$$.

Start by finding the ones spec'd just like you want. Then make offers. Who cares what they are asking. Name your price and walk until you get it.
