Wow, that's a very difficult decision to take now that there's a 997GT3RS in the mix ! How about that not so pretty but brilliant Lambo Huracan Performante, are you getting that one ?

One thing to consider about the Merc, the "black edition" is around the corner to trump the GTR ...

I never drove GT-R, but a friend of mine has GT-S completely stripped (-100kg) with JRZ suspension, chip tuning (making around 600HP). It is an amazing car to drive, much faster then stock, but still a bit slower then properly tuned(alignment) stock 991.1GT3 if driven on the same tires. Michelin has different compound for GT-R, but if you use the standard compound MPSC2 I'm sure that GT-R is not as fast as 991.1 GT3

The Lambo is a very interesting car, but I am bulking at the price. For some reason I have this mental threshold of not wanting to pay more that 200,000 euro for a car...although I did go way over that for my 964 RS...but it is a very special car.

Would like to hear what the new owners feel about the AMG GTR compared to a GT3/Turbo S? How is the RWS on the AMG?

Hmmm, the Cayman S is faster than that 7:32 ring lap time Giulia Q. Interesting.

I have an AMG GTR on order looking for 2018 late spring/early summer delivery.

I want a .2 GT3 6MT so badly, but unless if I pay some crazy premium, the dealers will never give the allocation to me. (It doesn't matter how long ago you had your deposit in, they don't give a crap, they only offer allocations to selected ones who they can make big & fast money out of). I am not going to pay ever MSRP for some flipper's PREOWNED .2 GT3 which will flood the sales floor soon after deliveries start.

Both great cars at this price point. (assuming we all pay MSRP) I'd be happy with either one, or even better get both. I like to spec my own cars, so pre-owned market doesn't really work for me anyways.

I think you will not be alone. This car is very intriguing and with the Porsche games many more will give it a try.

And if you watch the video you notice the driver didnt push the car that much.
This event had 4 or 5 different drivers.

GTR will be amazing. Can't say which one is better, but I am amazed by how much AMG has improved recently.

I'm signed up for a rental in a AMG GTS at Yas Marina the end of this month and will probably wait for the black series for the summer 2019 Euro delivery.
