Default LA Auto Show 2016

Any informed speculation out there about what Porsche will be showing in LA next week? They always seem to debut at least two new cars each year at the show.

Just a wild guess... 911.2 GTS .... could be in LA or in NY.... and maybe the new endurance (mid/rear engine turbo) race car....

New GTE/GTLM race car (More or less confirmed in sports car racing circles)

991.2 GTS (Seems like the obvious choice)

Panamera Sport Turismo (Maybe?)

3 debuts according to the auto shows site. If I recall past trends GTS variants show up here.

RSR and shooting brake would be awesome to see. I really like the shooting brake design. Didn't mind the previous Panamera either as it evolved through the years. No third seat in the rear was a killer.

Too early for either the Panamera ST and GTS. I expect one of the three intros in LA to be the standard Panamera - it has not made an official US debut yet.

911GTS seems likely for historical reasons, we have seen undisguised cars for what appear to be photo shoots, and it provides a 'sporty' model to coincide with the PEC opening in LA.

Third model is a wild card - could be a race car, but seems odd that there would not be something fresh in the SUV lineup - Porsche is an SUV company, after all, and the US and LA in particular are SUV markets. Perhaps some sort of PEC edition or something lame like that.

Anybody know if there are any pre-partys for PCA (or other orgs) this year?

I would almost certainly expect some sort of reception at the new PEC, which has at least had a soft opening; not sure if it's 100% open yet though.

PCA breakfast on the 18th, tix went on sale few weeks back. It's in the Porsche Pavilion before show opens and you get admission to the show.
