I haven't timed it up or down, and I'm sure its less than 2mins, but I would say it takes about as much time to locate and install the ramps.....or to add/remove the drip pans....or hooking up the airhose for the rolling jack and getting it up to 100psi....or moving the other car into a new spot.
In other words, while it doesn't do it at the snap of your fingers, its not too bad relative to everything use you're doing when positioning a car on a lift. The entire process takes time
edit...I just timed it. It was 28 seconds to lower the lift while a car was on it. That includes lifting it 2-3", hitting the airlocks, then dropping it to the ground. It took 1min32 seconds to return it to full height, where I keep it. My ceiling is "low" so bottom car only has about 50" of clearance.

Reason: timed lift
I’ve got a BendPak HD9 & use Race Ramp hooks. Light & really easy to stow. Best part is eliminating the massive steel ones hanging off the end. Also have 220v setup on mine & makes a big difference in lifting speed.
A set of race ramps will change your life. I have 4 single post lifts at home. The metal ramps are unwieldy and storing them and moving them around the garage is bit of a challenge.
