Given the quantity of 991.2GT3 he has received he said there never has been this much new supply, and he was told they same will happen with the GT2RS.

Is the configurator correct, that if you do not take the leather interior you can only get whorehouse red?

His 2 918 customers got their status revoked?

If I may ask, what does this mean to your dealership in terms of getting the same allocations you were told last year about GT3 allocations. If I am not mistaken you were expecting more allocations than from 2017 for 2018. Or does that increase your allocations for this year 2018 on 991.2 GT3 and GT2RS?

Sounds like you might be in line for one based on the last part of your post, hope that comes true.
Removed from the system, I took to mean that the allocation date went away but he still has the allocations for his two VIP customers.

As an aside, a year ago I went into local Ford dealer to check out Shelby GT350 sitting on the floor. Dealer had a $15k mark-up on the car and wouldn't even let me sit in it to check helmet clearance. Went in last week to check out a Focus RS and the same GT350 was sitting in the same place with the same mark-up. I just chuckled and walked out.
My dealer was told that the scenario of many more built than previous iterations for the GT2RS, just like the 991.2 GT3.

No, they just lost the V whatever code in the system I think.

Something changed on his side and he said that Porsche is now ready to take the ADM for themselves and / or build as much as they can in as short a time as possible to fill a much bigger market.

I know dealers and SA don't know anything, but its what I understood he told me and he's been at it forever (Longest Porsche sales man at any US dealer).
They don't do ADM and are in it for the long con.

If this turns out to be true, it's a bombshell. Great for those of us who don't have golden god status with our dealers, but likely bad for those whoa re used to getting any car at MSRP as they will likely be paying higher costs upfront and take a resale hit later.

It did not change a thing as we still have the exact same number of slots, they are now just 2018 models. It appears that there could be a delay on a rumored model to hopefully accommodate more GT3 and GT2RS production this year. We certainly could use the extra cars!! The awful CARB issues we have had to deal with last year is perhaps forcing Porsche's hand to make only 2018 models so they don't have to certify 2019 cars and have them delayed at the port. Time will tell of course.

^^ I read that as GT4RS delayed and they will pump out all the GT3, GT2RS and GT3RS before the certification of 2018 ends.

Ah gotcha. So the original assigned build slots are gone. Porsche is shuffling the build slots then. Unless of course those 2 guys asked for PTS and got approved and PCNA needs to reassign them new ones.

I will also add cage, belts and other track goodies. I'll probably also look at opening the exhaust a bit, I'll decide that after some miles and options.
Looks great to me!

I'm pretty sure we deal with the same team, maybe a different SA. From what I was told yesterday both of their VIP's orders are in but production pushed back to June or July, and they don't have a confirmative on allocation numbers. At least one of VIP car's is PTS

I’m sorry I’m sure this has been asked and answered before ...

Will it it be possible to retrofit the OEM roll bar into the US spec models, or is welded in at the factory?

Thanks.
