Or maybe the next GT3RS and make my own safety again.

Sad.

I don't see the difference between the 3RS and 2RS? If they didn't do it for the 3, I don't see them doing it for the 2. And if you are enjoying the 3 on track with a bolt in bar why not the 2?

I love the new GT2RS.... but will wait for the 488 "speciale/GTO" first :-)

With that amount, a 488 "speciale/GTO" or a Huracan Performante is also a good choice!

It's Porsche marketing - selling what they have on the floor by getting people into the door.

The 2RS creating excitement (yawn) RL guys don't want excitement they want to buy / drive ... repeat.

On the fence due to the W package but at the price of a 675LT Spider Speciale Performante 488GTO and others Porsche is punching above it's weight class ... the W price should be closer to the 2RS base price. Porsche is milking the 991 not sure how it's going to work out a year from now.

Spot on. Friend in Germany got his Performante a week ago and absolutely loves it. He already has the 675LT Spider as well. So can make a clear judgement

Good points, and a manufacturer may have to crash test additional cars if structurally different from what's already certified.
Still, I see a large uptake rate for CS packages in NA, as a lot of people who don't even track order the LWB part.

I think a lot of folks are going to be disappointed on GT2 RS allocation, as am I having being confirmed by my UK Porsche Centre that not looking good despite my 20yr relationship with them and many 911's (all GT, RS and Turbo's) either serviced/bought there.

Little interest in Lambo or Ferrari (although have owned 355 and 430 Scuderia in past) but definitely now considering switching over wholesale to McLaren as too much hard work to buy the cars I want from Porsche these days.

That's great - 675LT Spider is on the radar holding off think there may be one more level up from the Performante.

True - being the President of the local Ferrari club it's shard to get most owners to drive if the weather isn't just right blah etc and so on vs Porsche lots of activities track days but that's changing and almost zero new models show.

RS purpose on track rally spirited owners - how many driving or track threads are there here vs allocation depreciation etc boring to the bone threads.

I love gold wheels as much as any Subaru fan… But something about that satin black on red…

The red certainly is eye catching.
But somehow those magnesium wheels look right in their stock color. They are made of an expensive material and i think the black takes that away from them.
