MANUAL transmission enthusiasts: 991.2 GT3 manual, or GT3 RS PDK if forced to choose?

To me, the PDK-S is an integral aspect of the 9,000rpm engine with very short gears (22% average shorter overall gearing than the 997-GT3). From Porsche's perspective, PDK-S is not just a "choice," it's a question of functional capability. 20% more torque, 20% more RPMs, 20% more dramatic engine braking in lower gears and no room for error combined with big ego, low skill humans and a plaintiff's bar...
Unless Porsche uses much taller gearing, which they will, MT GT3's are going to result in a lot of over-revs, blown engines and angry customers. If you have taller gears and lower revs (a la 991 r), you defeat the whole point of the high-rev, NA technological marvel.

Free option? Tough call, but I would choose PDK. If I already have a fun manual car, pdk.
Paid option for PDK? I choose manual.
Pdk makes the car very boring on the street, but awesome on track
Manual fun on the street, but also fun on track.

Nothing about this car makes it not good for a manual. Will 0-60 be slower, sure, who cares. The 6MT will be same as the 911R which also supports a lower redline albeit with more torque.
Lets see about 911R reviews and then we can see how the 6MT goes....

At the speeds the 991 and beyond are going, a manual shifter is a liability not asset.
For me the boat has sailed in terms of a track-biased car--it's gonna be paddles. Put in a single clutch sequential box if one can, I want something that rattles like a cup and jolts like a horse prodded in the butt.
Leave the manual shifter to that "feel" car AP wants to make. Sure that'll be a great car, but that'll will have a decidedly different application.

The problem going forward is there are no NA cars other than the GT division.
I'd buy a GTS if it wasn't going turbo but I'm pretty sure outside the GT division that ship has sailed.
I already have a turbo car and it's great in a station wagon. That's where it belongs tbh.
