MANUAL transmission enthusiasts: 991.2 GT3 manual, or GT3 RS PDK if forced to choose?

I'd get the 991.2 gt3 with a manual. Obviously the .1 GT3 will start to drop as people will dump them for a manual 991.2 when that comes out. And it might well be the last NA GT3. Its like porsche is pretty much admitting they messed up by not offering a manual. I was planning to get a 991 this summer but now... im not so sure. And I don't want to wait another year to place my order for a 991.2.
As for the RS... if they offer a 991.2 RS with a manual the .1's will surely start dropping to less than MSRP

PDK-S
I'd pick manual if I hadn't been forced to buy PDK-S. So, thanks Porsche.
Mustang 350R would be manual even given the choice.
My manual Porsche would be air filled with a G50, the best manual I've ever driven..

Except, that's not a very good way of collecting that data. As we already know (from some of the people above that like to hang out in the 991 forum), there are a lot of people who will vote for the manual on principle, but have no real intention of buying a car. That's why real numbers on something like the M4 are so telling. BMW enthusiasts are just as serious about "proper" transmissions, they have overwhelmingly spoken with their wallets.

It makes perfect sense. The RS AP said months ago is all about times. Therefore - it will only come with PDK-S.
The GT3 will have the option. I also think they are doing this to appease many who might be upset they can not get the 911R and to help step up the new GT4 Customers they just got.- perfect marketing. Hey make a GT4 Manual only and introduce a whole new base at a price that younger folks can get a taste. Then they step them up slowly to a GT3 with a Manual offering - pretty savvy ****

Manual for me. But did anyone read the 911R article where it notes that the car goes 87 mph in 2nd (lower gearing than GT4 but higher redline - current GT3 does 77 mph with even higher redline). Would be better if Porsche could make a close-ratio manual 7 spd that shifts as well as the 6 spd...

I'm at the track this weekend with my 991.1 GT3. What an awesome car. PDK is the right transmission. I'm shifting with the paddles and am definitely NOT bored!

PDK-S. If I get nostalgic for a manual (and I may, even though now I'm not), I'll go all the way and get something old-school AND/OR something underpowered (e.g., miata or s2000), so that shifting gears actually has a practical reason to it on the street as well.
