Default Top center marker on steering wheel

Does anyone know of a good way to add a permanent red or yellow stripe on the top center marker of a leather GT3 steering wheel?

Gaffers Racing Tape. Holds up pretty darn good and will not leave a mark when you take it off

Oh... I thought gaffers tape (used by gaffers in film and photography industries) was actually very sticky.

Either way, I'm pleased with my strip in vinyl. Stays on nicely and comes off clean.

Permanent (well can be cleaned off but might leave a mark) solution is have a interior repair guy spray it with dye.

I've found that 3M 1080 Wrap in Matte Red works well. Cut it to size and wrap it around.

3M 1080 Wrap Matte Red 3M 1080 Wrap Matte Red

That should do your wheel and a bunch of friend's wheels as well.

+1 for gaffers tape. Won't leave much if any residue, any anything left can be removed with a leather or alcantara cleaner (Sonax makes a good one.)

How does it stay in place? Are you activating the adhesive?

I love the PAG marketing folks. On the RS config. it you would prefer a lava strip on the wheel instead of the OEM yellow it is $325.

Like the OP, I would consider a permanent and cost effective way to put a stripe on my wheel as it looks good and is a useful feature. No offense to anyone, but from what I've seen, on a leather wheel like mine using tape looks.....well.....like you've used tape.

Gaffer's tape worked well with my alcantara wheel until I left the car out in the sun. Got baked and took forever to remove the heavy residue.
