Now, the weather - of course - is not so bad... LOL

As the race didn't start we guess we'll get the fees back. One year they made us do one lap and then the red flagged - then they didn't need to refund us.

I was looking forward to F1 - so that is cancelled too... Thought maybe we can jump into our third drivers rental, a BMW 760Li and go to Porsche Museum - Then I realised that basically there is nothing to do at all because of the lock down.

Good things though: Car is OK and there is Touristdriving tomorrow :-)

No need to complain - we all are healthy - we also know that the Covid strategy at the race is working and hopefully we will able to drive all races this year.

Good new is also that 24H of Nürburgring is confirmed. For a while it looked like they had to cancell it.

Next race is the 17th of April.

I'm been trying to learn to left foot brake all winter in my daily - now it is my default way to brake in non manual cars.

In the beginning I noticed that the braking itself worked pretty good - maybe because my Harley's got a left foot clutch.
What I needed to practice was the release of the brake. I was a bit clumsy in the beginning. Now it is working really well in the daily.

So this Sunday I decided to try to drive the Ring with left foot braking.
Initial it was easy as I was cruising. But with speed the mistakes came.
It felt a bit like a reprise of what my right foot learnt over the years: Basic errors as not releasing the brake in time, timing problems like braking to early etc.

I manage to drive a couple of laps sub-8 still a bit in cruising mode: Going one gear high and not flooring it in the high speed sections.

It was fun but more practise is needed. Some corners definitely is nicer to drive using this technique.

I believe that that's the corners where I use my left knee pushed against the door to stay put.

I guess I need a new seat or a bigger *ss.

Hahahaha. If it’s the OEM sport bucket seat from Porsche you use it won’t fit you if you don’t eat all the sausages you will find. I say that as a German😃 You really need to find a seat that’s built for you. Therefor I wanted a car with comfort seats. I knew I needed a made-to-measure seat anyway and those Porsche comfort seats are super good for the road. Porsche buckets are for me good looking but I can’t use them on the track. So next my project should be building quick connectors to quickly swap seats.

I actually was catching Kubica in the last race. Kubica must drive a low powered car for two races and do it well to be able to step up to the big guns.

(I must admit that I catched him during red flag - I guess I'm faster than him in that specific cirqumstance )
