Certainly tracks I have been to in UK and France we use blinkers (indicators) to signal our intent...does not always work especially if the driver in front has red mist like the guys below however that is the norm.

Doesn't having an opened window leave you prone to debris/stones/loose rubber?...mind same would be the case for open top track cars I guess.
Yea It doesn't make much sense with modern windows. I think it is to make easier access to the occupants in case of a crash. With todays modern auto glass it isn't an issue and really needs to be revised. But people are always resistant to change and perceived liability. Welcome to the US!

Its so awesome, its been a high of about 60F here the last few days and I still have the AC on Max Cool or on high fan. I turned off the AC once to see if it made any difference and turned it back on before I got halfway down the track.

The open windows rule is idiotic, uncomfortable and dangerous for many reasons.

Is the AC compressor ran off the crank or that's electric too?

The turn signal works opposite of in the US.
In the US you point with your arem out the window over the roof what side you want to be passed. Awesome at 160MPH, real safe especially when a piece of rubber hits you in the eye at the same time.

Here in Europe its like auto manufacturers and engineers intended. With a turn signal indicating where YOU are going to go or stay.
There is a reason cars close roofs and windows upon impact and race cars have window nets. Actually CUP cars have closed cockpits. You now for aero and safety

Anyway; Bye bye Spa...
I made it :-) Ran a few 2:44's lots of fun with other drivers in our group. My tanks was on -- the last laps and on the last corner on the last lap of the last session the car slowed down and I got a warning "Reduced engine speed, OK to continue".

It went away after one restart. Maybe because I ran low an fuel? Maybe Mr. Purple just knew it was time to go home..

Not sure if you have answered this question but what hardware and software are you using to record your laps?

Thanks!!!
