I'm offered a 2016 GT3 w/ option of Paint To Sample from someone in touch with a "Porsche Ambassador" from Switzerland. Cost = MSRP + $35K.
I'm all over it as long as I can really get PTS.
Do we know if any 2016 GT3 PTS available ?
Do Porsche Ambassadors get to pull strings like this? I would suspect so.
Need to decideASAP or lose option.
FEEDBACK APPRECIATED!
I hear no PTS. Porsche Ambassador in Switzerland? Sure sounds legit to me.

I wonder what the "undiscounted" price was. I guess they think that since an RS has asking prices of $100k over MSRP that they can get at least half that for a GT3. What a joke of a dealer.

Eduardo is definitely the one to provide the answer here, but I was told absolutely NO for PTS on my 2016 allocation. I pressed hard to no avail (willing to take a delay etc.). This seems to be consistent throughout those who have received the opportunity to order a '16. If this is a real possibility, do not hesitate!

Agree. I was same as above. You would be 1 of 1 based on avail information from users here.

Seems every PTS order has been delayed recently, I have two myself and spoken to other people that have them aswell. I would be surprised if they are opening more slots.

If it is a true ambassador car you can spec pretty much whatever you want. Enjoy

Porsche basically telling me that GT4s and Spyders can not have LWB seats tells me that more GT3 and RS allocations are coming.

Was the Swiss ambassador wearing something like this?

If he was, believe him. They sure know how to color coordinate
those outfits! And they seem to have connections with...a higher
authority!

But it he is just an AMAG 'salesman' in a dark grey Hugo Boss suit
that thinks of himself as a 'brand ambassador', I would be careful!

I have asked several times our readers to report any confirmed
sightings of a PTS MY2016 gt3s anywhere in the world...and we
have yet to see or hear of one.

Saludos,
Eduardo
On beautiful Santana Row in San Jose!

Well .... As we know ... Reality sets in with negotiation and the days going by unsold. The market will speak as we've seen.

I'm just reporting the news (sales)

Since this is the place to vent and not the for sale threads.

I am so tired of a couple delaers coming on here and "offering these cars to us first". Such BS. Its not like they are offering some great retail or discount to us first and then posting to all the rest of the world a week later or something.

Like they are doing us a favor. The crap is hugely over priced and we all know it. Trust us just post it, it is not doing us any favors. The stuff stay for sale for a long time if any of us want some over priced car then we will find.

The MAJORITY of the stupid people with more money than sense are not lurking on this forum to wait and see what the next over priced car gets posted.

I like forum sponsors and participants that actully help and look out for the other members and participants.

I am also getting tired of people just saying GLWS to be politically correct. This is a public forum. We (or at least I) come on here for information. I want the comments of both good and bad. If a car is a ripp off or has a history or someone found out something concerning (like the Atl thread) I want to know about it. To threaten attorney action because a guy is speaking what he experienced is just mind blowing to me because its hurting a flippers sale. To just say GLWS and not comment on the price because it might hurt his sale, go fly a kite. Then go post your for sale ad on Auto Trader and you won't get comments. And I don't care they are paying members. It is a public forum. If you don't like the comments they don't post. It is not like these people CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING ELSE to this forum. There is no insight, knowledge, value added. It is their over priced ads and that is it. They won't be missed by me, sorry. Trust me when I am in the market for another car, it just builds my list of who I will NEVER go to.

There I am done venting. Have a great weekend.
