Yes I thought that too. I'm sure that's Miami Blue.

Nice color. Can't get excited about it on the RS. I'll stick with UV.

Just heard from a dealer who was at the factory recently that he believes he saw some of the new 991.2 C2S's in some stage of production. He thought that some may have been Miami blue! Anyone who has seen the new 991.2 cars there, please let us know if that's what you've seen too. And he heard speculation that this may be the launch colour for the new 991.2s! (So just like Lava, there may be other variants that will be getting this colour in the future.)

Also, he mentioned a lot of Lava RSs there, like the vast majority of RSs. In case it's a consideration for anyone thinking of Lava but wanting something rarer.

If it is there I haven't found it up to now. "My dealer" (quotes as it's starting to sound cliche) also seems unaware of it. To even it up a bit I'll also test him on Julie Andrew's films as that seems to be Eduardo's weak spot.

Nizer thanks for the picture. That saves me from having to have more paint made up. The sample I had mixed is a little bluer but still a cooler (colour temp) than voodoo or Riviera with a hint of grey. I think it's a nice colour but I think it should pop more on the RS. I guess we'll have to wait to see it on a car.

I was thinking that Miami was maybe intended for the 991.2 but why would they would change it to the RS when they had several other good colours?

The other blue in the photo looks more like maritime or club blue to me rather than UV as well.

I'm really liking that viper green but I think I'm sol now.

Also, I don't think that blue on the configurer is Miami but those colour presentations aren't the best anyway.

If you'd still like to play with it on the configurer you'll have to move to France.

Default 'Also sprach Zarathustra', Nietzsche & PTS...

As promised by Barbara Boeckenhoff (Manager, Porsche Exclusive - Personal Design PCNA), today I received the following information from Melissa Witek, whom we all have to thank for her dedicated service to customers on issues of PTS & 'Exclusive' options. I also want to thank Ms. Barbara Boeckenhoff for her assistance in these matters and arranging for my visit with 'Porsche Exclusive' in Germany.

I have decided not to attempt any analysis of it, but reported just as I received it. Like Nietzsche, I am trying to be philosophical about it!

Saludos,
Eduardo
Carmel

PS I depart tomorrow for Germany and have a tour of the factory on Thursday July 16th and a luncheon & afternoon session with 'Porsche Exclusive' executives on a Friday July 17th. I will report on those at a later date. I am also trying to arrange for a tour of the Porsche Leipzig production facility on Monday, July 27th.

*************************************************************

To make it easier to read, my questions to 'Porsche Exclusive' are in 'red'. Melissa's responses are in 'blue'.

Great clarity Eduardo!

I believe half the battle with dealers on this stuff is they don't ask the correct questions!

For my own situation looks like I need to focus in on point 3 to see if it was officially input as opposed to just confirmed in an email.
Eduardo, enjoy the factory visit which will presumably yield some further Info. I should be there in the next 6 weeks or so myself so if you see a can of signal yellow chuck it over a nearby car and I'll sort out the finish later.

Brakes in lava would have been really nice.

Thanks for those renders, very interesting. Like you say, with lava calipers would be cool.
