Your sales manager is reading the wrong chronicles (perhaps 'The Chicago Daily Tribune' if that is still around). Instead, he/she would be much better informed by becoming a frequent visitor here at Rennlist!

They are a for-profit business, but that doesn't mean that certain models aren't built in limited quantities for various reasons, as we've seen in the past. Whether that happens with the new RS remains to be seen.

2015 BLACK GT3
I just acquired this 2015 black on black GT3 2300 miles w/ red gauges & deviated stitching. Fully loaded except PCCB. Red calipers go w/ rest of package.
I'm 6th on list for RS, however not sure I'll ever see it. Better safe than sorry, so I grabbed a GT3 at $5K over MSRP. Original owner added Passport radar, entire front clear bra + tinted windows which would easily add over $5K so I feel I grabbed it at MSRP.
Can't wait!!!

Hey guys,
I am a Porsche owner (currently have a 997.2 turbo) and am following this thread closely. I am 7th on the list at my dealership for a 2016 GT3, and they currently confirmed they will get only 3 allocations at the moment, with more in possible near future. Here is my question, if I don't get into the 2016 I already asked my dealer to place me on the 991.2 list as well, but wanted to know if anyone has any information if there will be a .2. I mean they got to right? It is Porsche and they are money hungry, so why wouldn't they?

They are a very high volume GT3/GT3RS dealer.
They aren't even taking any reservation requests for a possible 2016 GT3.
I'm not saying anyone is correct, but there sure is a lot of conflicting info.
I don't doubt there will be a 997.2 GT3 at some point. Clearly they are keeping it very quiet, looking to clear out all RS allocations first.

There are some 2016s, but not all dealers will get one.
