They're reaching out far to find someone to pay the 35K markup. I was not in their area of consideration, being in Houston, but they contacted me anyways. I told them it was ridiculous to mark it up so much and I would pass. Their response "We are paying upwards of 15K over MSRP ourselves to try and get a car or two" Makes no sense to me, but I'd never step foot in that dealership.

I finally got a response from Mr. Marsh saying they found a taker for their allocation, however thinks if they had held out...."could have gotten more!"

He justified their practices by saying "they are a reputable dealer being responsible to their stockholders & manage our inventory responsibly."

I got a chuckel out of that!

My dealer asked me to resend my P Code for the confiuration I chose for a 2016. He said it looks good and will hopefully be able to confirm on Tuesday. I'd love to get this one in Sigal Green or Viper Green. Not holding my breath.

My SA has heard nothing, but earlier "rumor" was that these would be fall-winter allocations. So maybe something more over the next month or so?
Might be a good time to start looking for a low-mileage CPO.

I've heard that 2016's are done for the year... None came in to my dealer (#4 in the country) during the last round of 3Q allocations and their feeling after conversations with their rep was that it's over for both the GT3 and RS for 2016.

I saw the only 2016 GT3 they've gotten thus far - it was on the ground at the dealership the other day.


But we know Porsche plays this game oh so well.

I got a call from my dealer a few weeks ago asking if I was interested to get a 16 but over MSRP, I said no thanks. They called me a few days ago and said I could get it for MSRP, so I locked by order and I'm at V210 status already. They said they swapped cars for the allocation or something of that sort. I have a Nov 6 delivery. Feel very lucky

My dealer only got one 16 and said that they have not heard of anymore. I had a chance for one at another dealer but they wanted 15k over. I could not justify it and also I wanted a pts which was no go on the 16s. I put a deposit down for a 991.2 with hopes its worth getting.
