I've officially thrown in the towel and asked for my deposit back. They'll cover a new set of rubber. Congrats to everyone that has one coming...the Mex Blue will be killer.

I just placed my deposit a couple of days ago.
Don't give up just yet. Porsche wants to make sales. They will produce the cars to "just meet demand"

They'll make more but probably not enough to me to get one since I came to the party late (signing up for the wait lists). I'll have to buy it used from one of you kind souls. I learned my lesson and am on the lists for the .2 GT cars.
I had a Sept. build with Oct delivery date at V200. Changed to Voodoo blue about a month ago and sitting in limbo now. I believe now that they have shut down PTS they will start assigning dates based on colors and quantities. That is purely based on logic and has no substance in fact and given the chaos that has continued likely I am wrong. Good news is I am locked in and frankly given that I live in Chicago, if I don't get it by October that March is even better.
I just heard from a Corporate source that there will be a second round of allocations but it will be few and will be for the VIP 918 clients who are getting a second chance to get the RS.
Looks like getting an allocation as a non VIP client is looking very slim according to my source.

we should go riot outside of PAG headquarters. haha Now sure why the 918 owners are getting 2 bites of the apple. Does that mean they can get a 2nd GT4 on the second round of those allocations?

I'm with you on the riot, but we all know PAG, they just do things that us mere mortals will never understand.
You can only get one single VIP allocation per 918 Spyder you own. Period.
Some didn't raise their hands when the first round went out. I suspect they're just giving those people a chance to raise their hands this time (now that reviews are out, and hype is up).
I don't like it because it means less allocs for non-918 owners, but it makes sense, kind of. It's still implicitly in violation of the 918 Spyder VIP Program Policies that PCNA published to 918 buyers.
As promised by Barbara Boeckenhoff (Manager, Porsche Exclusive - Personal Design PCNA), today I received the following information from Melissa Witek, whom we all have to thank for her dedicated service to customers on issues of PTS & 'Exclusive' options. I also want to thank Ms. Barbara Boeckenhoff for her assistance in these matters and arranging for my visit with 'Porsche Exclusive' in Germany.
I have decided not to attempt any analysis of it, but reported just as I received it. Like Nietzsche, I am trying to be philosophical about it!
Saludos,

PS I depart tomorrow for Germany and have a tour of the factory on Thursday July 16th and a luncheon & afternoon session with 'Porsche Exclusive' executives on a Friday July 17th. I will report on those at a later date. I am also trying to arrange for a tour of the Porsche Leipzig production facility on Monday, July 27th.
