Update: My RS is now in production, entered on 7/24 but isn't scheduled for completion until Sept 10. This sounds weird, No? It's PTS A-1 Black but now scheduled for delivery Oct 30 to early Nov.
Is this somehow related to the August Holiday shutdown? Or just a weird PTS freaky deaky change? Anyways no biggie just thought I would relate the weirdness that has been my RS build

My UltraViolet is V300. Scheduled to arrive at LAX August 7th. I ordered this car with radio delete and A/C delete. My Gulf Blue GT3RS with lift, radio and A/C is V210.

your salesperson can help you arrange it. are you doing ED? there are some air freighters that will let you fly as passenger on the plane when they are transporting your car (but not sure if you can do it with Porsche)

you should definitely be able to fly it in. your sales guy should be able to arrange it - if he can't, he should ask for PCNA to help him set it up. really easy to do as long as you are willing to pay up (around 15K or so)

I think this is due to August holiday. My A-1 Black RS flew through production and is on a boat leaving today.

Dealer just told me California dealer offered them 50k over for their allocations. Now that's some BS.. I'm never getting a car, this is ridiculous. I'm buying a used 458. Screw this.

Dealers buying up allocations over MSRP from themselves? Oh come on now, when will this bull**** stop? When will PCNA step in?

To be honest, it'll stop when allocations for calendar year 2016 production starts drop (i.e., when PAG finally wises up and gives in to pressure from PCNA, and others). Until then, the last set of allocs that dropped were a while ago, so dealers are trying to hog from other dealers. It's sad, really. And quite unfortunate for the enthusiasts who weren't lucky enough, or didn't buy a 918, or two, or three.
