Default GMG RSR Harness Bar Install

So the hardcore poser in me had been thinking about doing a rollbar simply for the cool factor and let's say structural rigidity. I've always loved buying strut-tower braces, so this appealed to me. I had been thinking about on in silver to match my stitching, belts, and trim. Well, there was a silver completed, ready to ship bar that GMG posted. So that made up my mind.

http://www.gmgracing.com/store/2014/...-roll-bar.html

I was too chicken to tackle this myself, so I called my boys at PSI in Orlando to help me with the install. My prerequisite is that I am allowed to help and take photos. David, the installer at PSI, was a little nervous because he knows how **** I am. I assured him that my reputation isn't what he heard.

Now knowing how to do it, I would absolutely do it myself in the garage. It took David and I about 2 hours. GMG suggested it would take about 5 hours.

Unboxing

Remove both front seats.

Remove the rear carpeting.

It looks so tough.

Very nice set of photos...no words needed. Thanks.

One question: Did they let you vacuum under the front seats before they were re-installed? I'm always trying to get as much out from under them whenever I'm cleaning.

I thought about it but was too preoccupied with the bar.

Money,

Did you see if there was possibility of adding a few washers to the front seat bolts to allow some recline? I know you've got adjustable seats but I presume the mounts are same as LWBs. Thanks

I can't believe there were crumbs under the seats, didn't that make your head hurt.

Take it out, paint it sapphire, vacuume and put it back in documentary style.
Might as well paint the seat backs while you're at it.

Good question. I'm not sure. I was too busy taking photos when David was taking the seats out.

Yes, we used a super sharp razor blade and sawed at it. It was a lot easier than I thought. Luckily David had installed one before, so we knew what to do.

You guys crack me up. I kept starting at the dirt, but I didn't do anything about it.

Is the bar Silver it shiney Black? Silver matches the inside accents but still bars should be ext. color.. And your carpets should be clean.

I think it's my favorite mod that I have ever done. You need to order one first thing tomorrow. I swear that rear feels stiffer(may be placebo).
