This does look interesting. Although Fabspeed's dyno graphs are always a bit shady. I, for the life of me, don't understand why these companies spend the time and money to develop the product and then promote it properly. Shoot, send me one, and I'll make a video. It's not that hard.

We just did a car with Race headers(no cats), valved side muffler bypass and OEM center muffler. I LOVE it! IMO, it was the perfect system. The button had fantastic functionality and there was no drone anywhere in the RPM. Now I just need to get a GT3 to put it on....

Hi Matt,
I'm one of many that has enjoyed your videos and ive soaked up a lot of knowledge that you've been so gracious to share in this thread. Much Thanks!!

I soon plan to sell my beloved Aqua blue CR in anticipation of an October gt4 delivery. I ordered GTSilver instead of pulling the trigger on sapphire before it was discontinued but I'm looking forward to a change and it should be a very rewarding color to keep maintained. Your car is an amazing color combo BTW. We share similar taste!

Question- Do you have any idea how long a new Porsche would be sitting in a parking lot in Germany awaiting transport? I have no clue but Im wondering how banged up the fresh paint actually gets from all the contaminants in this sort of environment. When my 997.2 gt3 arrived I didn't allow my dealer to wash it because I was such a freak about my first black car. I think I washed it 3-4 times in the year and a half I owned it. Terrifying color to maintain.

I won't let the dealer wash the new one either and I'm wondering how long you suggest I wait do a paint correction?

Bump to Page Two!

How are the exhaust mods going Money? I'm waiting on the TPC but wondering if I should have just done the single-pipe bypass option and then the muffler like you're planning.

The low-end torque is not the end of the world on the track as you're never that low in the rev range. Around town it's got plenty of oomph already so not a big deal.

I'd love to hear how you're finding this new setup and whether the character of the sound and the volume is pleasing but not overwhelming if you're just cruising around town trying to talk on the phone, listen to some tunes or not give the missus a headache.

I would do it right away so you can get some sort of coating on it

Here is the problem for me. Aren't the valves still operating like stock? Opening and closing all of the time?

You are looking for the exact same thing I am. The problem for me with the TPC/Cargraphic/Fabspeed/EVOMS solution is that the valves are still operating like stock. That drives me nuts.

I'm a pretty darn **** and sensitive to subtle differences in how my car is acting. I'm like a car hypochondriac. I can't detect any power loss from 0-2,500 RPMs with the valves disconnected.

This is why everyone is getting bent out of shape.

I see what you mean below 3K on the graph.

Currently, I'm wondering if disconnecting the valves on something like the TPC would give you options and sound just like a straight bypass without the need to replace muffler. That being said, to further refine the sound, you'd need to find a muffler with two-pipe input versus the traditional one-pipe bypass or cap the top pipe in the TPC/cargraphics.

Lastly wonder what a valved setup like TPC would be like with a third-muffler bypass. Too much? Just right? This really is becoming the search for a Goldilocks exhaust!

Keep us updated Money, have you received the goods yet?

I haven't gotten my 2nd FVD try yet. I would guess bypassing all mufflers would be more aggessive than we are hoping.

On the topic of valves....

Where does the vacuum come from? If you simply disconnect the valves without plugging the vacuum tubing is air/dust/debris being sucked into somewhere? Air box?

Curious if there are any implications here.

The lines are metal, but there is about a two inch section of rubber hose that connects the valve to the line. What I did is simply zip tie the line to keep it from flopping around and put a screw in the open end of the rubber hose. It works like a charm.

The vacuum lines go to a solenoid that controls the pressure in the lines to flip the valve states. In the open "loud" state, there is atmospheric pressure in the lines which comes from an intake connection post air filter. In the closed "quiet" state, there is vacuum in the lines fed from a vacuum reservoir (looks like a mini air tank) sitting on top of the motor.

If you leave the lines disconnect, you'll likely bleed out that vacuum reservoir and cause issues with any other vacuum-controlled items in the car that rely on it since the PSE is in the closed "quiet" state most of the time.

Just stick a plug in the vacuum line if you disconnect it.

Default My First Gyeon Products

These products are big in Europe. I was looking for a Trim and Window coating replacement since it's darn near impossible to get Wolf's products in the US. I'll be sure to share my thoughts once I test them out.

Default Garage Receiver Upgrade

I was using this Marantz SR7008 receiver as a pre-amp when my processor blew up. I bought a used Integra pre-pro so I'm able to replace the old RXV-800 in the garage. The nice thing is to have HDMI switching. I actually think the RXV-800 sounds better. I may pick up a two channel amp.

I think I'm going to visit there soon. I'm going out to measure my badge right now.
