Burning Brakes
I got my GT3 in late December and have driven it nearly non-stop on the weekends to get past that pesky 2k break-in period. I finally hit the milestone this past week and took it to the track for the first time on Sunday at Atlanta Motorsports Park. As background, I previously had a 2014 Cayman S, and did about 35 track days with it. After bedding the brakes, it took me about five laps before I crushed my best Cayman times. I shaved 4 seconds off my personal best, and was running high 1:28s and low 1:29s pretty consistently. Once I've got some more seat time, I should be able to shave a few more seconds off. I'm going to Road Atlanta next weekend and VIR in late February, which are much faster tracks, so I expect the gaps will be even larger. Compared to the Cayman, the GT3 is so much more stable and confidence inspiring. Going from the mid-engine to rear-engine layout hasn't been as significant as I expected, but I'm not driving anywhere close to the limit yet. I ran the car stock on Sunday just to get a baseline. My track alignment is scheduled for next week and I'll be adding the Cantrell roll bar and 6-pts as soon as they arrive. Aside from the obvious safety improvement, I'm looking forward to being held in place by the 6 points, as this car pulls some serious G's and I was feeling it by the end of the morning!
I'm using the AIM solo with the OBD connection, but will switch that over to CAN when I get a chance and will get the brake and throttle graphs working. I also need to get an external mic hooked up, since the wind noise with the built in mic is pretty awful. Here is a quick video of a few laps.

tMPS idiosyncratic but once you get the hang of how it behaves it's reliable on the track and I find if damn useful for telling me when my tyres are at temperature and when they are starting to cook!!

Never got it to work on the 997's.
I swear that the car turned on the SC and TC once when it "knew" the tire was going down. Never had it confirmed by anyone else.
I saw TC and SC come on, thought WTH and turned it back off, it immediately turned back on and next corner I went flap flap flap and I understood. Maybe the rate if the PSI going down...

I haven't had any issues. I had them on my 2014 Cayman as well and they worked fine for many track days. I've found they are usually accurate within a pound. I leave the TPMS screen up while I'm on the track to see if I need to hot pit and adjust.

Chasing Orthojoe @ Thunderhill (cyclone) yesterday. My PB was 1.58.5. I had to cut the session short because of back pain after skiing incident, hence my slowing down on 6th lap or so.
