Jason Hart, a pro racer, felt the ESC was not slowing him any in my car, FWIW. Can't say the same for the C4S o TTS, though.

When I drive the GT3 at Dream racing in Vegas last weekend, I had a fair about of slip angle going into a turn too hot and didn't feel any intervention. It allowed me to enter light throttle and steering correction and continue on my way.

Like Joe said. It's not a nanny and hence it's always on. My left rear pads are much thinner than the right because of CCW track driving most of the time.

The pro racer I spoke with, who has a 991 GT3 and has tracked it, likewise told me it doesn't intervene unless you're genuinely in trouble. I imagine that I'll try turning it off to compare for myself, but otherwise I plan to leave it on.

A fellow RL 991 GT3 Cat A guy recently told me of the detail on the totaled brand new 991 Gt3
hitting the wall at Daytona back in October with Henry's PDG ;the driver had all nanny's OFF got out of shape driving over his ability chasing his instructor who was driving a 458 . It was the GT3's first
day on track when its owner totaled into the wall , he was bruised up , bloody nose other wise ok
He owns the 458 he was letting his instructor drive that he was trying to hang with and admitted that
it was his fault and shouldn't have had the nannies OFF , he may as well had but 5+/- track days

I am not that experienced on the track, but I asked one of the Porsche instructors from Barber when they were hosting one of the World Roadshow events in New York about the nannies. Two of them told me that they never turn them off after they tried the car without the nannies, they didn't feel that they were any faster without them.
It makes sense to me especially with my lower level of experience. I have already had a few "interventions," nothing major, but they are nice to have when you are out of position and need a little assistance to get back on line. I might feel differently if I were driving a less expensive car.

I had my first track weekend this past weekend and 2-3 times I felt the nannies kick on before I thought they should, but it would be hard to argue I would have been faster without them. No plans to turn them off at this point.

Still a lot of room for improvement, but this was one of the few without traffic.
Taken with Harry's Lap Timer, IPhone 6 and external GPS and OBII sensors. I notice there might be a problem with the overlay as the RPMs and shifts do not line up or appear accurate throughout the video.

First time at COTA
Got a head start by being in front at the grid. Then a race Viper laps me. Watch for the 12C (modified suspension and ECU, Trofeo R, 265 out front) passing me later (we had 40 cars per session), what a fast car. The GT3 on Hoosiers or slicks would be hard to beat. As fast as the GT3 is, I can't imagine what the RS will do.
