It's agate grey and ceramic tint. I'll ask the dealer what % it is but I specifically told him to make it legal so I don't give to officers a reason to pull me over.

On the car paint issue- The cars did have a dusting but it didn't seam like it sat outside for 6 months. I examined the foam on the doors and the bumper and did not find any dirt deposits as it would be a key indicator on its porous surface. I was assured that it was keep indoors and after inspecting various spots including removal of the protective layer, it seems this car was keep indoors. Hope this makes you folks feel better.

OH. One more thing to add. When the folks say pictures don't do it justice believe it. I gave up taking the pics as it was impossible to translate the curvatures and immenseness of its presence. I saw this car 18 months ago at a trade show and it still shocked me.

Mike , major congrats to you , what a cool sophisticated package !

curious to know with your 9500ci install did you go with full package, including the rear laser deflector which on my last P car is mounted with top
License plate bolts , unit looks like a plate light. A fellow with this set up on
2011 RS bitched that the location with center exhaust was very problematic .

I am planning to install the 9500ci when I get my delivery this fall

Cheers to your new rig and drive it a lot for good health !

Thanks fellas. I was a bit worried about the platinum rims but as it turns out, its a perfect match to agate grey without the gloss coat. The black lights are very complementary to the grey, red and black theme (thanks to Mellisa from Porsche).

The 9500ci is suppose to be the newest one which has two deflectors up front and one in the rear. Control module is in the empty cup in the center console with an LED display on the rear view mirror and a heads up display on the instrument cluster. I believe the rear deflector is on top of the plate as you said so I have no idea if that is going to cause issues. I will take a few photos on friday when I pick up the car.
Can you tell me what issues you buddy had so I can make a last minute change to avoid the issue.

Thanks.

Does NY allow radar jammers?? In IL they are illegal. You can have detectors but can not jam them

I think its technically a radar detector with a laser jammer. Its a dealer install so I'm pretty sure its legal. Good point, I'm going to inquire about that.

You can set the laser shifters to receive only if jamming is illegal in your state.

Where are you going to have the front laser shifters mounted? It looks like you would have to cut the wire mesh in the grill openings.

Obviously, if you leave the car out long enough, it will eventually heat up from a sun load, but the tint really slows the rate at which the sun load can heat the interior of the car.

I use the lightest tint I can get so as to have a minimal effect on visibility at night.

A high quality ceramic tint should cost around $450 to $500 for all four side windows and the rear window.

You're going to like this........ My dealer charged me 1800.00 for the ceramic tints. I thought I heard 800.00 but reconfirmed this morning 1800.00. This stuff better be hand made by Faith Hill.

That's insane. I hope he's not doing your clear bra too, bc I shudder to think what he plans to charge for that.

You've got to push back on that man.

Ironically, that is not a crazy price. Maybe a couple hundred extra on top of directly working with an outside shop, but not a major markup.

The tint is serious. Maybe it's the film? I know certain brands, like 3M Crystalline is multiples more than the run of the mill stuff.

You should be disputing that. Nano and Crystalline tint is the best and it should be no more than $500-700 at a dealer to get it done and that's still a little high.
