It appears that the swap date information is being communicated by the PCNA female staff. You can pretty much guess why.

BTW, I have yet to get my call but I pretty much figured out when I will get my car based on other posters dates.

Since our cars were born on the same day, shared a cabin on the Love Boat, and have been camping at SD port together, my bet is that our cars will be completed during the same week in August.

Just called Porsche myself. They told me that my engine is going to be ready the week of August 4, and the car will be re-delivered in September! I am stumped! I have Nov 19, 2013 end of production date. I told them how frustrated I am, so they told me to expect a call from Don Thomas.

But WTF? I bought the car almost half of a year ago, and I'm supposed to get the engine after people who have not even bought their cars. This is the worst nightmare of car buying experience.

Sorry, Max. That just doesn't make sense......they've clearly made a mistake.

This is most distressing - my baby has been at the Houston port since February and I don't know if she's all alone - I hope she has some company!

I have a car that was on the production line at the stop sale. Called the general number. There are no dates yet for the customers that have cars sitting somewhere at the factory. She said anyone that had the car at Stage 8 (V300) at time of stop sale will get calls. All those before that they have no dates but may have them in a few weeks. Mine was at Stage 7.8 (V270).

I did ask what was the latest date you had for a US car to get its engine and be "ready". She said the latest was an August engine ready and delivery 3rd week in September.

I then asked a hypothetical question, based on this, would it be appropriate to assume my car will not be ready until October or November? She said that is a good assumption. Looks like I will never drive my 2014 in 2015 unless I put snow tires on it. She suggested I buy the car and sell it back to the dealer the next day to get the money from Porsche. Smart lady that is what I was planning on doing anyway. No reason to tie up my money for 5 to 6 months in storage.

What?!?! Unless they are rebuilding a new 2015 for you, that is simply outrageous.

Same dates. They had time to bond being lockup so long together. I hope they get to meet sometimes after repair preferably on the track

Muffler Bypass - Those that have this are you going to take yours' off before letting them take car to port?? I would suggest asking what the protocol on this will be. Reason - It is not the mod. that is the concern but they may just throw on the new engine with the new exhaust and not pay attention to the mod.(then be out ~ $1500) If they do reinstall do you not want the original 3rd muffler just in case when you sell at a future time you can provide?

One of my friends got his car back from Stuttgart today.

Now it's time to finally use it!

Max - this doesn't make sense. Was there anything unusual about your purchase or delivery process? I have a list of eight others on this list that have vehicle completion dates shortly after yours and they are all getting their engines in June.

Why do I have this list? Because I am in the same boat with you, but not quite as bad. I have a vehicle completion date of Dec 11 but am not getting my engine until the second half of July. One of the above eight is only two cars ahead of me according to VIN number but I get my engine four weeks later, along with, as you say, the bunch that hasn't even received or paid for their cars yet. Turns out I actually paid for my car on Dec 21, before anyone else in the US, as far as I can tell, because I signed up for a European delivery.

So I am supposed to get a call from someone named Vanessa, who is going to "explain" my engine date to me. I will straight out tell her that I don't want an explanation, I want them to correct their error in prioritization and get me my engine in June, like all of the other delivered US customers.

Who is this Don Thomas that is supposed to call you? Where is he based? Vanessa is just another customer relations representative based in Massachusetts.

I will PM you. We ought to establish contact so that we can keep each other updated on the resolution of our problem.
