Not out. Just not fully satisfied. But like women, sometimes you have to take the good with the not so good.

For the high mileage story cars yes, but I wouldn't expect a ton of weakness in the low-mile, no story cars especially if this RS does base out at 180-185.

Just the one Nizer; small payback for all the hits we early adopters took on our non-Mezger GT3's, don't you think?

Rooster's reply, "Fill your hands, you son-of-a bitch" I love that movie.

Excellent, and the last 911 drivers car that Porsche made. It's all downhill from here on out.

Maybe they'll have auto pilot in the future for the track challenged types.

Photoshop or not, it plays off of the patent images and basically gives a good estimation of what the car will look like, color scheme notwithstanding.

By the time I save up enough money, I can pick up a new 991.2 RS. because the used ones would cost more

It is going to be one bad-*** car for certain. Not for me but I still can not wait to see it. I hope they have it at the Chicago Auto show next Feb. Rest assure; it will out perform the Speciale.

Now, some one explain the advantages and disadvantages of the Lithium battery. Is it jut weight savings only?? Is it bad in cold weather climates??

They are. But wifey is all excited so wont be nervous in traffic anymore. No car is perfect!

have to say, this new RS does look awesome, and the performance is going to be insane, but will never get over the fact it uses DUB 20" wheels, and PDKrap.

I'm completely happy with my old school, slow, 6spd 997 RS and E92 M3.
I hope you are right on the 997 prices but I hope I can get over all the CL DUB and PFKrap.

Stay happy, ask me how I know

So put a pillow over the flappy's and PDK stick?
I think prices will come down, even at $180K its still new with warranty VS used no warranty. They are still mostly wanted for track cars and when you track them they go down. Bubble wrap cars I cant care about it will never be a part of my life.

Well, they did blow up so there's that and real brave early adapters go to the track and show us their video's and wear rates. I'm 100% sure it's new motor and 25" rotors are OK to drive to the Piggly wiggly.

Thank you, the red hurts my eyes again, surely there will be no clown colors this times!!

I hope for Paris in 2 months.
Lithium is just for weight, but some of the smarts ones turn themselves off and make sure the car always starts so no need for trickle charging, etc. is a nice added convenience and security as you can turn the battery off with a key fob.

That's fine, Peter, the point being however that the RS will have essentially the same "new motor", "25" rotors" and other oft maligned bits from the 991 GT3 like PDK, RWS, and electric steering yet apparently you're still in the market for one in Orange anyway. Ironic, don't you think?

BTW, I bought my car for my own reasons, not to satisfy your curiosity about wear rates. When you buy yours you'll get no judgmental comments from me as to how you use it.

Based on the all the previous RS (and the fact the company is run by German engineers with MBAs.) I'd be willing to bet money the modifications introduced by the 1st generation RS will consist of a bodykit, cold-air intake and some stickers.
