If I didn't have a budget I'd probably get a nice 275 GTB/4. I unfortunately have a limit on what I want to spend on a car.

Thanks for the comments. Sounds like everyone may have a different option on this. Is the rs really that much higher at the front lip?

I dunno if it's that much higher, but it is most probably a bit higher than the GT3 given the ride height and suspension settings due in part to the 21" rears.

That said, while it may be a bit higher, I am not sure the front lip is as easily replaceable (either logistically or financially speaking) as it is with the GT3.

I would definitely forget about extra color charge and get GT silver. Its the nicest looking color IMHO on the RS.

FUll leather and front lift are two of the most important options to me.

I recall it is either 23mm or 26mm (not in front of my computer) higher than the 991 GT3 - the lift adds 30mm of height, so it's only 7mm lower than the GT3 with the lift on without the lift. That's at the front, I'm sure it's a lot higher at the rear given the chassis rake but haven't seen that measurement.

Front lift; never had it, never missed having it.

You should drive one. They handle like a truck.

I have the lift in my 458...I've only used it once to test it.

Feels ridiculous to stop the car and wait for the lift...I just drive.

Since getting the 458 I've never spec'ed a lift again.

My car is approved for PTS.

If anyone with a UV car wants to swap the Matte Aluminum uprights and wheels, I have black uprights and wheels coming.
Be happy to swap, ideally in Germany when they are still new, if state side they will have some miles on them.

Not sure if you have done this before TRAK but it was explained to me that any modification during Euro Delivery had to be switched out before being shipped back to the states. I switched my side indicators from amber to clear and when it arrived stateside they had switched them back to amber. They told me everything had to be back to what was delivered to me at the factory even stickers on the window (Nurburgring). Not sure if you had been told something different but FWIW

The GT3 lift doesn't require you to stop. I use mine every time I take the car out. The lift rises and lowers in about 2-3 seconds.

Side indicators to amber is logical for them to switch back due to import regulations of US spec cars. But something that is cosmetic, like black uprights vs silver uprights, doesn't require it. And neither does the removal of stickers on the windshield. I had all of my Swiss Motorway tax sticker (vignette) on all of my five European Deliveries and none were removed by the Porsche handlers at port before being shipped back to the US!

Good point, I still will install a roll bar and remove it again + ship if I can get one.

Peter, do all PTS cars get the black uprights, and black wheels, or is it just for the color you selected?
