You are probably right. I doubt you can find an open allocation right now at MSRP. It depends on how bad you want the car.

I don't know how much demand is outside us forum guys is but once a mag test gets out it will probably increase demand.

Folks, just be patient. Allocs will come. The only time additional allocs can't come is when cars are numbered, and all the numbers are allocated.

My dealer does not gouge me. When I buy a car I also don't call 30 dealers and hold an auction. I exspect them to make a fair profit as I do in my business. I have had dealers offer me cars at over list. I just laugh.

Yes.

And I actually do not ever do business with them again.

40+ cars in ~15 years. One bad experience (similar to this type of stuff we're talking about), and I take my loyalty elsewhere. Treat me with respect, and I'll treat you with unwavering loyalty.

The next round of allocations should be coming out in 4-6 weeks according to my dealer...

I know if I did the call 30 dealers up, I could get a better price / discount. But my guy treats me well, the Sales Mgr treats me well, the General Sales Mgr treats me well. The respect me, and value my loyalty. And, as such, I have no real reason to do to dealers what some dealers do to buyers.

I know....its killing me too. I'm #2 on the list and #1 got his last week. He only expects two slots...hoping my slot comes to fruition...

Hey Rockitman - how can you have a commission number and not know if you're getting a slot ? Isn't that the point where things locks in ?

I'm number two at a small/mid sized dealer and they've yet to fill #1 . I'm also on the list at my usual dealer but i'm lost somewhere in the order...

Commissions numbers are a dime a dozen. It's the actual allocation filling the order that's meaningful.

Correct. You need your build status to go from V070 to V200 in order for it to be for real for real. Once it hits V200, you'll likely have a set of dates in the system. Until then, it's really just a promise. Granted, it's more reliable of a promise than no commission number to begin with.
