If they did wait I wonder how many more of the current GT3 would be produced?

My guess is Clubsport option as standard will only b offered in Europe.

This USA pricing may indeed run 10-12,000 USD less than equivalent Euro pricing is Clunspor is standard in Europe as I suspect standard seats and no cage, FE & Belts will be standard in USA saving considerable cost to base price.

If Euro is 185-190K base inc VAt (german price) for the 991 GT3RS incl full Clubsport package the USA base will be approx. 170K without I believe.
macca,
yes, order the club sport and remove it. my question is rather whether removal is factory-condoned, i.e. whether removal compromises structural stability (for road driving that is). but most likely not.
i was less than impressed by the ferrari factory event yesterday presenting the 488GTB (i could not be there but got very detailed reports). the pics look very watered-down compared to the initial renderings (which had very hard creases, almost lambo-like). what remains is a comfortable ultra-fast car....rather not a mini-laferrari, more a 458 italia with air vents. the rear vent gets close in ugliness to the turbo S rear vent. bring pininfarina back to ferrari please::))
cheers mate

More details on the R8 V10 plus, estimated 7:30 ring time though I expect it'll be lower. Coming on same MPSC2 fitment as the 991 GT3 - 8850 redline.

Yep several articles and videos of the new R8 V10+ (still in wraps) online over the past few days. No look inside yet, but will have that new dash display and interior is suppose to be amazing. What is really amazing in the video is the sound on the track..WOW! They did it right...no 488 lack of exhaust note issues (oh my how the ladies are crying over on F-Chat...458 owners are bashing away).

610 HP of NA goodness and probably $80k less than Huracan...not a bad deal.

I hope this puts to rest all of the alarming news about everything going turbo...like the GT3/RS. If Audi, along with quite a few other manufacturers, can release a 5.2L NA V10 on a 'limited' number of vehicles, there is no reason we can't get NA for future GT3's which will probably be produced in fewer numbers.

Edit: ...and a future GT3 without batteries.

Wait until you drive it.

Also, have you driven an existing R8 V10+? Not the best car (this '16 is going to be on a different level), but fun and AWD. Another fun Audi is the RS7...loved mine. Fast family car.

I totally agree with your statement. People drool over it at the car shows, and I am a huge car lover and stand there in disbelief. I just don't get this car or the effect it is supposed to give. It is not as fast as it should be, nor is it as outrageously striking as its Huracan sister, and comes with Audi unreliability. Several people I know well have had them for a short time thinking its the business, and then go on to other stuff like 458's and Lambos or such.

Just don't get it.

Not as fast...'16 will have 610HP...not good enough?
Not as striking...how do you know since it has not been revealed yet?
Audi not reliable...huh? I've owned 6 in the past two years, not one problem. Zero.

Maybe you're not referring to 2016.

I like all VW product lines (Porsche, Lambo, Audi, etc)...well, except VW.

They should make the Clubsport option a "trunk kit" option (shipped but not installed) for North America.

I don't understand why it wouldn't come in the US car. Is there some sore of government regulation on this?
Side note, I just bought a cayman s for the track until i get the rs. I forgot how much I miss the sound of a na car. that little sucker sounds way better than my tts!
