So any thoughts that the us will get or have the opportunity to get the Clubsport roll cage? I guess it's just a pipedream. How about the mounting points, do we think they will remain for the US market? Thanks all for the new info.

I heard from a very reliable source that the design team of the RS was taken over to the parent company late in the design phase and lots of attention was paid to the Beetle.
this has caused quite a stir, and apparently the long delays are due to them moving the engine to the front, dropping it to an inline four and turbo charging it.
oh, and tiptronic only.

Peter. You would want to order it included and have it removed by the your dealer. Its bolt in and easily removed. The car is worth more on resale with it IMO.
My guess is Clubsport option as standard will only b offered in Europe.
This USA pricing may indeed run 10-12,000 USD less than equivalent Euro pricing is Clunspor is standard in Europe as I suspect standard seats and no cage, FE & Belts will be standard in USA saving considerable cost to base price.
If Euro is 185-190K base inc VAt (german price) for the 991 GT3RS incl full Clubsport package the USA base will be approx. 170K without I believe.
