Is it un-Kosher to quote yourself in the same thread?? Just wanted to give a little, aha!!! And for the record, I never said the GT3 was soft. I said it had gone a tad softer (pdk, 20" wheels). From the interview quoted above:

What’s the philosophy behind the new 911 GT3 RS?

Preuninger says that the new GT3’s increased usability as a daily driver and its more rounded abilities opens up the possibility for the RS model to be even more extreme: ‘We’ve opened up a wider field of usability with the new GT3, so maybe that gives us more reason to push the RS towards a more extreme side. The differentiations between the two models has always been increasing, and it’s going to be like that in the future.’"

I read the interview with the Porsche rep. Manual is dead. You will need to go to an American car I think.

Hello Gillela2nd

Why is it that every one of your messages is signed with a link to "creditgif" and some jpg?

And why am I not inclined to click on any of them?

If for the best part we call all those on par, the only remaining difference is trans and the pdk is not providing the performance gain over the manual box in the 4.0... Thats the point I was trying to make.

An unfair comparison would be to compare to the 997 Gt3 or 3.8 RS which are now indicated to be 50-65hp off the pace through Porsche's choice...
Ok Chris. The 4.0 also has a torque advantage but you make a fair point. The 4.0RS did a 7:27 Ring time I believe. We'll have to wait and see what the 991 GT3's measured performance is and if it lives up to the hype.

Guys- these are spambots. Clicking the link infects your computer with keylogging software. After that you begin supporting the Chinese and Russian economies via your timely credit card and bank account contributions.

A human did not not post this, so if you reply you are talking to yourself

When you see these posts, why don't you (not you Bill, everybody) help the others by simply clicking on the " Report Post " (! inside the red triangle) button that is to the bottom left of every post and note it as spambot. The mods then delete all the 'bots posts. Its fun! And you can help your posting pals to not get malware installed on their box.

A white RS 4.0 showed up at the las vegas show and shine pca event at gaudin porsche this weekend. What a beautiful car. I would take that car over 2 991 GT3RS cars. The 4.0 is the perfect modern 911 and the last true RS imho. If it's someone here I just want to say that you have the perfect and most beautiful 911 I've seen in person.

I wonder what wheel / tire combo the RS will use.

Sounds like the new RS will be the perfect track car (for my wife). Can't wait to order one for her.

4forme:

You and your wife are on a roll (see their list of cars below)! Congratulations on the new 991 'Aqua Blue' Cabriolet you just got from Isringhausen Porsche. Those SportTechno wheels are the ticket on the 991! I had an 'Aqua Blue' Spyder which I miss...and that color will no longer be offered in MY2014, so you have something pretty 'special' there!

2010 GT3 RS Blackgrey (My Track Car)
2012 Cayman R Peridot/Alcantara (Wife's Track Car)
2013 Cayenne GTS Basalt/Alcantara (Wife's DD)
2013 911 cab Aqua Blue/Pebble&Agate (My DD)

Saludos,
Eduardo

Wonder how long it will be before everyone who is playing tippy tap too too with their manuals at the track will get tired of explaining or qualifying their lap times when "wives" with 991 gt3's or rs's are pushing them aside.

Easy fix, never allow your wife in the same run group

My wife has told me 4 kids is all she will have. If I want more, I need another wife

Thank you Eduardo. I loved your superman Spyder (I had a spyder in platinum silver I bought off the show floor, but yours was head and shoulders better looking). We are doing our best to stimulate the German and US economy
