I like that idea ... I'm counting on the fact that the larger strakes (similar to those for the GT2RS and the e-motion engineering aftermarket parts) will "just fit" the additional 4RS strakes I dont plan to install (unless they fit w/o additional hole cutting)

if people are serious I have both QuikJack, JackPoint jack stands, and a Renntool for CL work and a garage - if anyone is up for it over labor day weekend?

just got mine from suncoast as well - i might actually try and put them on this weekend if i have time

funny story, i jumped the gun and also bought the 992 strakes before finding out about the 4rs strakes. now that i have both in hand, thought it would be interesting to put them side by side and compare. definitely very surprised by the price delta between the two, especially given that the 4rs strakes are larger

(4rs strakes on the left, 992 gt3 strakes on the right)

Thank you for sharing, both pictures is only for one side, correct?

Combination of Red + Green?

Looks like 4RS has another stand alone piece.

Yup that's correct, one side only. And yeah I believe there was mention about the additional standalone piece in this thread - not sure if anyone's tracked that down yet.

Thank you for confirming.

We definitely should source the smaller standalone piece too.

Trying to fit the GT4RS pieces on my 19 RS today.

The large piece fits perfectly, everything lines up.

The first two holes on the smaller piece line up but the third hole does not exist. (Not a big problem. The kit comes with extra screws and hardware)

Then there is a hump on the wheel liner below the third hole preventing the piece to fit flush.

I remove one of the ribbings on the inside to try to accommodate the hump

After the cut. It is better but still doesn’t fit flush.

Also there is a forth hole on the bottom that’s about 1” off.

This is where I stopped for now and will try to tackle this tonight.

I think one need to get the 4RS wheel liner for a perfect fit or trim the stock liner (which I am not willing to do, yet.)

To be continued.

Same fitment issues of the 992 GT3 parts

The first larger piece is plug-and-play using all existing mounting hole and looks to be identical to the GT2RS Clubsport part.

The second small piece for the lower wheel well is where the difference comes.

The smaller GT4RS piece needs to have some trimming to fit on the 991.

Got the second GT4RS piece installed tonight, small modifications required.

Line up the 4th hole on the bottom, you'll see the cut out on the strake slightly interferes with the underbody pinch weld.

Trim the cut out so it will clear the pinch weld.

Install the screw in the 4th hole.

The first two holes on the strake will now be offset from the holes on the wheel liner. Drill two new holes about 3/16" to the right (yellow dots)

install the screws in the new holes.

Use a heat gun to heat up the plastic and bend it toward the wheel liner.

Drill a 1/4" hole on the wheel liner.

Take one of the plastic push pin that came with the 4RS strakes and insert in the hole you just drilled.

Done.

Compared to the stock air guide the new 4RS pieces are pretty substantial.

The installation should take about 10-15 minute per side. I'd say the result is very secure with minimal modification. For the price paid, I am very happy.
