Are the 991.1 GT3 and 991.2 GT3 underbody fastener locations the same? I.e. is the same install process applicable to the .1 GT3 chassis?

Yes you can install all the parts on .1 as well, anyway you need to add all the additional fastener points in the underbody panels and wheel arches, since the .1 don.t have any strakes from factory.

I actually think the GT4RS pieces might fit better on the 991 cars. Since the 982 front tub is almost identical to the 991. It might not need any additional holes.
The more air channels the better!

I really think I want to go with OEM from the 2RS (or 4RS) vs drilling & cutting for the 992 ...

I agree with Larry, hence I didn't proceed to order these parts.

Sounds like us .1 owners will be drilling / cutting regardless. GT4RS sounds like it's going to fit better.

I'm not so certain about that ...

what we need to do is figure out the p/#'s for the 2RS parts ... and get a set ...

I now wonder if the 4RS strakes will also fit a 718 Spyder

edit: read this as 3rs for some reason. 99150445580 was the part number posted above for the 2rs but looking at photos, it looks the same as the .2 gt3/rs

As shown in post #24 of the thread. 991.2 GT3, GT3RS, and GT2RS all have the same single piece strake on the under body.

what we need is the 2 piece strakes from the GT4RS for most likely a direct bolt-on solution.

I tracked the 4rs strakes down a bit more, and it seems they originated from the gt2rs clubsport car, as shown

Same here, they also cost about 1/3 of the 992 ones.
