Speeding Tickets
I have to make it to mid August this year without another ticket (on 2 of 3 max) or my license will be suspended. How do you avoid speeding tickets in your Gt3? Radar detector (what type), Waze, common sense, etc. …or do you just not speed anywhere.

I’ve got a perfect record but I do drive conservatively anywhere in high traffic or low speed limit areas. Only time I would drive spirited is on group drives which are typically very low traffic.
however if you do I’d suggest uniden radar and Waze for longer trips.

Don't speed in the city, not worth it and putting yourself and others at danger. Go out to the country back roads without people to do your thing.

yep. It’s been about 10 years since I’ve had a speeding ticket and then two came in right away. Both were wide open back roads, open space With just that one perfect little space to hide a squad car completely, complete entrapment, seems almost fraudulent, almost. Now my summer is screwed, will barely even drive my fun cars.

I might try those again. I feel like they give me a false sense of security and then I’ve become more reliant on them than common sense. Additionally they go off randomly which makes my heart skip a beat on a regular basis if I’m over the speed limit. But I might try this again, after I’m able to go for spirited drives again

How hard is it to just follow the rules of the road? No tickets here in over 10 years

This is not hard, drive your fun cars but just go a bit slower. If you need the rush of speed, go to the track

One was in Indiana, one was in Wisconsin. The one in Wisconsin it’s almost like they strategically dropped a shipping container in the middle of nowhere just to park a car behind. Wide open back road. The other one was right when it was an open road but the speed scale down to 30 with almost no notice and for virtually no reason, there was no town even on the horizon. But a perfect space to hide a squad car super well. It will be an EV summer for me this year. And I’m debating on even selling a few of my cars, factoring in all this + ridiculous prices now at the pump, pretty bummed.

Track days... I never speed in my regular cars or supercars. I don't really see the point. That said, got lucky in a school zone i didnt notice. I think those, or similar unknowing situation, will happen.

Wisconsin is notorious for writing speeding tickets, it just doesn’t pay to go much over the limit unless you have a “rabbit” ahead of you catching the flak.
In Florida if you drive 75, you run the risk of getting rear ended by a garbage truck 😊

Waze and RD. No tickets since doing that.
Any ticket, fight it with a lawyer. Worth it for the next unexpected thing/trap...
