Only attention I get is when I blow past them

I don't mind most of the the attention. The only thing I don't like about owning a fancy car is when the occasional ******* drives like an ******* around you to get your attention or egg you on to race.

Or when you park somewhere far away in no mans land and that “A-hole” parks right next to you and door dings you because they feel the need to ensure no one has anything nice.

Many years ago, the cops actually were called when I went ape sh** on an old Subaru that intentionally parked next to my wife's beautiful IS300 many spaces out in a parking lot and hit her car with two big door dings. When I saw the damage, I proceeded to rip their door handle off, kick their door trim off, and bash in the side of their car with the heel of my foot. Sadly, it didn't look much worse than when I started.

My wife wouldn't ride with me (she was horrified at my behavior) so I left and when she called me 15 minutes later to come back and get her (that was awkward), I saw a police car out there by the Subaru. I called the store manager and he said he had grainy video that kind of showed the incident. I told him, hypothetically speaking, what happened and he said he completely understood my position and said the video had no identifying information and told me to have a nice day.

Nearly every outing I get a thumbs up. Most fuel stops there's someone who says "beautiful car", "is that Mexico blue" or "is that a GT3?" And if I drive windows down, many "love your car." Never had someone ask how much it cost.

To be honest, I'm the same way, complementing others on their choices. And it doesn't have to be an expensive, luxury or sports car.

For the record, my winged 3 is Miami Blue.

rs are pretty common in silicon valley. no one cares about it.

if someone wants to race me, i move to slow lane and he can go by. I know he needs compensating so
i try not to hurt his feelings.

if someone talks shOp and knows porsche we will have a good chat

if u ask how fast I go, speed limit only

if u ask how much I paid? I don’t know. ask my mother she bought it for me.

if i just don’t want to talk, I know and smile “sorry no speak engrish ”

The how much guys are the worst.
I recently acquired a .2 GT3 (my first 911) and had a distant relative ask me how much it cost. I was caught a bit off guard and stated about 150k (paid a bit more for it). The rest of the night was spent telling my family members how “wealthy” I am. I understand I am extremely blessed and fortunate, but it made me uncomfortable.
I wish I would have used your suggested response instead.

I am Orlando area and constantly get looks and comments on my Oak Green Metallic GT3. It is always a hit at Cars & Coffee and other meet-ups. I don't get half the comments with my White TTS Cab.

One of the most empowering feelings in the world is when someone comes up next to me, wanting to race and I completely ignore them. It upsets them greatly.

How do you know it upsets them if you completely ignored them?

I find my RS gets attention from “car guys”, but most don’t even notice it. The 600LT gets attention from everyone. I don’t really mind it. I haven’t had anyone ask how much I paid for either.

I have answered the question: “what color is that” usually with some preface of I love it or I have never seen it before probably 500 times in two years. Everyone from young boys to old women. If my touring was black/white/silver/grey or even guards red, I don’t think I would have a question about my car (I naively thought a subtle green would go unnoticed and there are a lot of 911 around here). Now an orange 3RS, that’s going to get noticed.

I could never understand why somebody would buy a car depending on what other people would think or say.
