GT3 Drivers: How much attention do you get?
Hello all. I'm finally in a position to get a 2016 GT3 RS. My concern is the attention it will receive. Do people notice it and just think of it as another 'boy' racer? Or do they actually approach you to ask questions and what not. I used to have an i8 on lease and got rid of it fairly quickly due to the attention it received. People constantly asked me what I did for living, how much I paid for or very inappropriate comments regarding women and how I "must have a lot" (happily married, by the way). I have a BMW M8 Gran Coupe now and while it gets some stares, it rather mundane compared to the i8 which is perfect.
EDIT* Meant to put GT3 RS drivers in the title. My apologies.

Depends where you live and also color. If you live in LA and drive a neutral color GT3, you're probably fine. If you live in a place where you never see sports cars and you get one in red and have a loud exhaust, I would expect some attention.
Where I live, you see some sports cars, not a lot and I have a white GT3, so you'll get some attention, but really very little in comparison to what Ferrari and Lamborghini owners get.

Most of the time nobody cares, if someone does ask me about the car it's usually what color is it (miami blue). I imagine if my GT was a more subdued color it would easily blend into the sea of Porsches in my area.

I have a GT3 Touring, and occasionally get nice compliments while parked. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where high end cars are fairly common, but I would guess an RS would get a lot of attention. If I saw one, I'd certainly notice it.

I’m in a normal Agate Grey GT3 and it doesn’t get much unnecessary attention at all, just sort of blends right in. The few people that appreciate it know what it is, so it’s not the worst amount of attention.
I can’t imagine you can blend in as well with an RS, unless you’re one of the dorks who takes the wing off.

As a GT car fan boy I usually go up to every GT car I see and admire it and the spec. LOL
You may attract the occasional car enthusiast with a GT car but for the masses it's pretty vanilla unless it's a flashy color. .
Out here in CA, a GT3 is nothing special for the untrained eye. People see more than their share of hypercars and pointy cars to do their gawking at. They do though turn around from time to time to enjoy the epic opera that is the GT3 as it dances off.

I get thumbs up every time I drive mine. Nothing over the top attention wise. Mostly from car guys who know what it is.

A Porsche will attract a dude.
A puppy will attract a dudette.
