A bright green RS still gets a fair amount of excited attention on the road from young car dudes but mostly frowning stares from elderly immigrants at the stoplight.
i see a red GT3 touring while stuck behind a slow car going up the mountain around here everyone once in a while and we give each other thumbs ups when I see/hear that it is the touring.

Depends where you live and also color. If you live in LA and drive a neutral color GT3, you're probably fine. If you live in a place where you never see sports cars and you get one in red and have a loud exhaust, I would expect some attention.
Where I live you see some sports cars, not a lot and I have a white GT3, so you'll get some attention, but really very little in comparison to what Ferrari and Lamborghini owners get.

I was not afforded the opportunity to build my own, and jumped on the very first opp to buy a 911 GT of any variation: Found another Unicorn.....

I picked up a chalk GT3 after having a V10 R8 for a few years. The ONLY thing the R8 is better at is getting attention. When I roll around with my buddies (720s, Red 488, 570s, etc) I'm like the red headed step child that no one cares about...AND I love that! I can't even get gas in the R8 without a "can I take a pic" or "what do you do" BS.

I attended a 2 day DE event this past weekend in NJ. There were at least 80 Pcars and 20 cars from other marquees. On the second day a GT2RS shows up and I don't think more than 3 or 4 of the attendees even noticed that it was a 2RS. So much for Pcar enthusiasts.

about as much attention as you'd expect. Definitely less than a Ferrari / Mclaren / GTR / Viper / R8.
People recognize the 911 shape and in general don't know the difference between a base carrera and GT2RS. Most people would easily confuse a 997 and 991 if we're being real here.

I actually saw my first GTR on US1 in Indian River county a few weeks back...looked boxy and very bland. He hung around me checking out the big GT car for several miles, we had plenty of openings to go and I expected him to want to but he minded his manners so I just kept cruising.

It's all about the wing.
My GT Silver RS gets about as much attention as my Red 812SF. My GT Silver Carrera S did not get near as much attention in general, other than ho hum it's a Porsche.
