I live in Cocoa Beach and every time I take the GT car out I either get guys taking pictures (or drive by videos) and get some pretty funny interactions on the road with people waving beside me to get my attention. Had a Ferrari owner (512 M Vert) looking her over pretty closely in my grocery store parking lot who stopped me inside and we chatted for a couple minutes; Dude has an F40 he is working to get back on the road, which I told him I definitely want to see. Wifey and me took the GT out for dinner and drinks at Port Canaveral two weeks ago, which is a pretty lively night time destination with lots of pedestrians and the GT was the Bell of the Ball. We then stopped for a couple more drinks at a hole in the wall bar and as we were at the bar a guy walks in and Says "okay whoever owns the Porsche should be buying drinks", it was pretty funny. Then on our last leg wifey wanted a Manhattan so we stopped at my fave downtown Cocoa Beach bar and restaurant because the front spot happened to be open and two or three guys were taking pictures and then shooting a video when we left. It was a fun night and no one ever uttered an inappropriate comment. Having said all that mine is the GT2 RS and here in Brevard county I think I may be only one of two owners so she is treated like a pretty special car.

Only because it’s orange in my case. My GTR in black got a lot more of “what is that” looks.

If it's a flashy color, people will notice, stare and take photos. At least that's what I've noticed from my month long ownership of a Racing Yellow GT3 here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The attention is not nearly as bad as say a R35 GT-R though.. my God driving that thing was a riot.

No one cares for any cars in Florida, you see everything out there honestly.

I think its what most have already said, guy cars and Porsche guys know what it is. I get looks and thumbs up from them, but for most others they just think it's a 'Porsh' with a wing. But I'm also running with a pretty stealth Agate Grey as well, so I blend in a little bit. I have become a magnet for Model 3's at the stop lights though. But I usually just let them go and smile.

I had a stryker purple Viper ACR. I couldn’t go anywhere without a huge throng of people wanting to chat about the car. I nicknamed the car the “dick magnet” cause it was always dudes.
I now have a GT2RS. Now it’s COVID time, but no one seem to care at all. It doesn’t even turn heads much.

Average person sees it as a Porsche, and true Porsche people know GT cars which is a small population. If not true exotic like a 918 Carrera GT it’s a Porsche.
