I really like this thread! It shows how different we all are. I bought my car to track. Unfortunately, there are better cars than mine @ CODA. Every now and then someone might say ‘nice color.’ Most of the time, I’m saying, ‘nice car!’

To some, it is a status symbol. Again we live in such a materialistic society.

People see more than their share of hypercars and pointy cars and do the gawking at them. They do turn around sometimes to enjoy the epic opera that is the GT3 as it dances off.
Well said!

no no no...
my sister has a Prius. when she visited me and parked on driveway, literally the entire neighborhood showed up on my driveway and thought alien kidnapped me. even the fire engine stopped over (my house was ex-fire station)... RS definitely gets less attention than Prius in SF peninsula.

Surprisingly my Lava RS doesnt get that much attention as my Black Nero Scuderia. I guess Ferrari hits different for people.

I wish I would have used your suggested response instead.

exactly what happened to me first week I got mine. Someone I know told everyone and their mother about it. I’m not a show off or a bragger. I work hard and like nice things and very thankful to be able to have one. As long as they don’t see it often it will be out of sight and out of mind. It’s humbling that’s for sure.

Some of you sound either anti social, mean or are just old (no offense) but if you’re in your 20’s or 30’s and drive a GT3 people do care. You’re more approachable. No ones walking up to gramps like hey how much you pay for that? Come with a walker?

My sports classic grey Touring is fairly understated and attracts nominal attention, as I prefer. OTOH, when I come to a stop at an intersection, my squeaky PCCBs get the other kind of attention: annoyance.

its kind of funny how 911's slide under the radar

Ferraris / lambos / mclarens get all the attention

and then you have the old old classics that go for millions and no one bats an eye.

And thats what I love about this thing, until you're stopped at a light in traffic and the guy in the corvette behind you gets out of his car and walks up to your window to tell you
"nice ride"....never had that happen before until yesterday.

I don't own a GT3 (yet!) but I get some really weird looks driving my 911 around in southern Louisiana with a $15k bike mounted on the roof held on by only suction cups. Usually, it's an eye squint and wrinkles on the forehead.......

He got attention from me, which im sure was unwanted attention. The owner was an older man, with a hot wife (older though). Ideally, you want people repelled by it in the parking lot. Park as far away as possible.
