An absolute truth - Porsche always makes the next GT3 objectively faster, objectively superior in the major performance metrics. The 992 is an objectively superior car.

Subjectively, something is always lost with the newer cars. These are emotional things, so the subjective stuff matters. It's also inarguable - you can't argue against someone's favorite color for instance.

Debating subjective preferences is probably pointless at the end of the day. The people who hold on to and prefer their 991s do so for subjective/emotional reasons, and maybe that is more meaningful at the end of the day because something new will always come along that's faster and "better" than the state of the art.
and not to mention newer tires too.

I have had 991.2 GT3, 718 GT4 (manual & PDK) and now the 992 GT3 and all I can tell you is, the 992 GT3 is the best car I have ever driven. Took it to Chuckwalla track, the balance and power is beyond the best car I have ever driven. What’s amazing is this double wishbone suspension! With previous cars, I had issues with uneven tire wear, well, with this beast, it’s so even, it’s beyond insane. Car is 100% stock. The amount of contact patch you get, gives you incredible feeling and confidence.

and honestly the digital display, what display? I mean, damn, I hardly ever see it, on track, only thing I look at are tire pressures, beyond that, who gives a damn? If you are so concerned about something that minor, you have issues. I use CarPlay and enjoy the tunes. Beyond that, the rest of the digital stuff is just in the background, so treat it as such.

I was in the process of selling my 992 GT3, but after track day at chuckwalla, I said to myself, I can’t go back to .2 or gt4, no way, so I cancelled my sale and I’m keeping it. The car is special, just most don’t realize how special it is.

and for those people who never track, you will never know. Not sure if this car is for people who just go drive around the local streets. I’d probably say if you aren’t gonna track it, buy the .2 for the simple price point.

I seem to remember that one being advertised higher. They must have done a price drop.

It was 189k from the beginning. Seems to have taken about 45 days or so to sell. Really think it was the wrap and high mileage.. but who knows.. maybe a story on that one.

The wrap was a satin PPF with ceramic coating so I'm not sure if that affected anything. 26k miles in 6 years is not terrible. Might've been something in the DME report because they wouldn't provide that

If anyone is interested in a 1.2 GT3 RS - https://roadscholars.com/current-off...19-911-gt3-rs/

Not sure what you all think about pricing on that offering. What do you think it is worth?

If they throw in 1-2 Bitcoin, then maybe, but at $280k, ya, hard pass. Too funny

In all fairness, it's Road Scholars. They're not going to sell a car with one spec of bull**** on it. Their brand and reputation gets them a reasonable premium for a discerning buyer. This isn't one of those dealer/flipper establishment we've grown accustomed to.

Think you replied to wrong person, I never said it was bull spec, nor did I say it’s a bad seller, etc, right? But since you bring it up, msrp of $187k, no CPO, and it’s being sold for about $100k over, so it’s over priced. Now that the facts, right? Someone wanna pay $280k, go for it.

After a long search and too many sleepless nights, I finally pulled the trigger on a 2018 GT3. I love my 2023 GTS but was missing the naturally aspirated, high revving screamer! GTS is for sale and I’m sure I’ll miss it. GT3 will fill the void and some though!

It is definitely priced with a nice margin in mind. However, it is also not a $187K MSRP. This is a WP RS with a painted hood, and all the desired options. Looks like some additional stitching as well. I would guess this is a $230-$240 MSRP spec. This is typically the range you see a miami blue car sell for. That said, when compared to what the 991.2 touring market is doing, the 991.2RS (for one barely driven with all the options) is going to hold strong.
