Would it be worth more as a CPO car?

Given I just sold my 2018 991.2 for $20K over msrp it's likely that you're looking at $30K over to start for a 992 w/ low mileage, well optioned, good condition cars.

Yes, the Autotrader car doesn't have the PCCBs and asking is $265K for a low Spec. MSRP was $206K. So asking $60k Over?? Makes no sense. Have you seen some of very low mileage .2 3RS for $320K? At that point just get the new 992.1 RS?
But I am patient, and I know the market is coming down. No sense in paying these crazy prices. I believe the sweet spot for the 991.2 RS without Wessaich is MSRP for a pristine model/spec or under that by at least $10K-$20K min.

In a few months things will change.

you should stop messing with him, he is one of the quirkiest members on this forum - only he knows how to negotiate, we are all just bums

Its a bit about principles. The same reason why I cant bring myself into giving into the landscaper mafia that charges $200 for a $50 grass cut because of the town you live in. Yeah some make the argument of “oh but my time is so important”, to me paying 4X to that guy would annoy me so much that every minute I saved by not mowing my lawn, I would think about how that guy thinks he has taken advantage of me.

The price I pay and the “deal” I get is absolutely part of the fun of owning these cars in addition to their spec, and condition, and DME report, and so on.

Chill out and make sure to pay your landscaper, those guys work hard for every dollar, they are just not sitting behind a keyboard and typing away, well you know what!

$30k over msrp if manual, $10k less if pdk.

That is awesome you get can get a 992 RS at MSRP. I know of 0 people that would not take an allocation at MSRP, within the local Porsche community. Seems like you are patiently holding out a for .2 3RS for under MSRP, why not get a 922 3RS, pocket a 100-150K and then buy any .2 3RS you want, and still have money left over? Now that would make sense.

The more we help each other, better it is for the buyers as we'll drive the inflated prices down to where they need to be.
Seriously? Lol

We need to collectively help each other to drive down the prices where they need to be?

he lives in a parallel universe. in that universe there are new 3RSs available at MSRP. in our universe, they are $150K over and dealers are still hesitant selling at that price. Will the prices come down, probably, if the market ever gets flooded with them but that is an extremely remote possibility!

I am not a financial expert.

Interest rates have steadily increased, and yes the market has softened, and more for certain cars than for others. People that paid significant ADM's for vehicles are/will be losing out, and in my opinion 99.9% of cars depreciate, so that was inevitable. Hopefully for those that did it was a short term hold.

However I would not expect for GT cars to start trading for mid 2020 prices or less in 2 months time.

A decline sure, but prices will stabilize, and probably above covid pricing. For several years people have said the crash is coming and all those that were waiting then, are still waiting now.

He is not entirely wrong. Here's a poll from the 992 GT3/3 RS forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3-...-charging.html. Over 40% of the responders got their cars at no ADM. If you include those with only $10K over, the number is even higher.

However, all the current allocations have been spoken for. ADMs are mostly from flippers and second hand market. Rumor is that more allocations are coming, possibly even a 992.2 GT3, and if you are patient and lucky to get one likely it will be at MSRP.

Market for both cars is driven by demand and impatience. Also by ignorance. EBay sold a Porsche umbrella that would go into a cubby hole in the door jamb of a 996 for $200, when you could get one from Porsche for $30 at that time. This thread should help make the market picture a little more clear. Just have to get through the bad vs the good observations.

unless you enriched the dealer in some other way or you have an agreement to sell it back to the dealer immediately upon delivery and make a buck, there has not been a RS sale at MSRP, no matter how many polls you show me, it did not happen
