There’s a touring for sale in the marketplace that resident Internet Brands shill/hype man desmotesta says is a ‘wow. Great deal’…

Could someone kindly remind me what the “story” is with the red Touring that has been sitting at Porsche of Colorado Springs? Is it the lack of FAL combined to the fact that it came from Canada and the $$$ price that has been holding her, or what?

By the way, I was under the perception that it is also possibly to install an aftermarket FAL system, no?

Also, in general, what is the general experience with this specific dealership?

Thank you in advance!

I think so too. I inquired about the car and was told it was a Canadian car. It was a hard pass for me knowing that, lack of FAL and the asking price.

Canadian car, no FAL are death for resale.

Iron brakes are problematic at that price point.

So what are the implications of it being a Canadian-market vehicle originally?

Harsh climate/salt exposure, Title washing risk, KM>Mile Odometer conversion issues, Carfax is not as reliable, resale issues after the fact.

it’s always the price. Anything will move if priced correctly, regardless of stories, provenance, FAL, no FAL, accidents, etc.

Carmine red is an awesome color. Canadian cars always have weaker resale.

you got one guy callin out people who commented the touring on the market place for $195k was a good deal then you got someone else asking why a $237k touring hasnt sold.
this market is hard to pinpoint and predict and there's no lack of conflicting opinions on this site!

Just to confirm, @dinkman , I was not suggesting that the price was right for the Canadian car, but it seems that this car has been on that dealer’s lot for quite some time (at least 6 months I believe), and at least when prices were hotter than today.
This is why I suspected there was more at play than FAL and price.
Love the color though.
