LWB/3 row and 8 cyl models have been on production pause. LR did not offer any allocations for those models this round. Reportedly not until ‘23 and I’ve been told delivery time is about a year. I believe it’s the same for PHEV.

My wife will be getting her Range Rover in January. Belgravia Green MHEV to replace her 6 cyl HSE which has been very good for us. Getting an allocation was tough, a few months ago my dealer had 70 people on the list with paid deposits.

My understanding is that LR is penalizing dealerships for selling outside their territory so any dealer selling you a car that is not local may charge an ADM to cover that penalty.

All my dealers are local and I’m within their territory. All of them had lists of about 100+ deposits a few months ago mostly waiting for the V8/LWB. Least demand was for PHEV.

That many people want a new RR that'll just fall apart in a year?

It’s technically a TATA now, so a bit more reliable. I rode TATA buses everyday to school growing up in a third world country. Lol

Our current RR has 45k miles and is more reliable than the Land Cruiser I had before it. Not saying the Range Rover is some paragon of reliability, but it hasn't been worse than any modern car. Talking to the dealer - the newer ones are a lot better than the old RRs, which would routinely have major powertrain failures.

That's a pretty effing awesome backdrop for assuming sufficient reliability of a modern Range.

Considering the longstanding reliability reputation of not only Toyota but the Land Cruiser line specifically that's a huge statement. What went wrong with your Land Cruiser?

We've had my wife's 2018 LC for a few years now and it has required nothing but oil changes, brakes once, and that's it. It gets washed regularly, undercoated with WoolWax yearly to prevent rust from our lovely salt trucks here in the north and I can't imagine trading it for anything else.

RR's are awesome SUVs, I hope their newer models prove reliable over time so I can scoop one up lightly used in a little while. Your experience is promising.

haha but it really should be branded to 'Bring your GT car' because there's one for sale every single day pretty much and sometimes multiple cars in one day. Always nice to see 'rare' and 'enthusiast' cars being so over-represented on an auction site.

The Land Rover game has been super tough. Insane demand. I was unaware LR is penalizing dealers for that. Glad to hear it honestly.

My wife and I are waiting on our 8cyl SWB that keeps getting pushed for 23's, LED lights, Hitch and now the sound system last I checked. Luckily we aren't in a rush but just like the last body style I think these things will be hot for awhile. I can imagine we probably won't see it until mid to late 23 at this point.

Not it a rush myself either, but I put down the deposits to hold my place in line. Luckily our 2015 X5 35D diesel is still going strong. It's unfortunate that BMW ditched the diesels here in the US. Would've bought a new X5 with a diesel in a heart beat. I do own/build classic Defenders and love the old school diesel simplicity.

That wasn't always the case. The GT3 market on BAT picked up only this year. Look at the sales data from previous years, very few GT3s went through BaT.

Yeah, definitely picked up over the last year to 18 months. flip game is strong. even before though, it feels like they came up more than 458s or Huracans and they made a metric ton of Huracans across all the variants. so still feels overrepresented in an auction site to me.

Here's a similar graph of 996TT sales over the years on BaT. Not sure the pattern is much different than the GT3 activity graph just posted, in terms of increase in sales in recent years. Maybe more about the growing popularity of BaT than the GT3 market?

Beautiful/fun color, under sticker. Miles seem irrelevant. Something wrong with it to be listed under sticker at one of the best known dealers?
