Interesting my first Porsche was Aqua Blue free color option, and took months for the dealer to sell when I traded for my first GT3. It was a manual, and I guess it didn’t say PTS so no value(:

Do you think the dealership would accept a low ball offer of, say, 150-155k? The green one has been sitting for a long time. That would make that difference larger and potential make it worthwhile? Especially for someone who plans to keep it long term.

It’s just so hard to understand market right now.
Per cargurus - dealer wanted $192 when they listed the car over 4 months ago, so they're likely in it for more than the $169 they're asking. That said, I think it's funny the dealer jumped on here for his first post to reject your offer with a cocky "nope.... Lol" - like your idea to offer 10% less on a car the dealer's had for 4 months was absurd.

lol, I didn't realize that was the dealer itself. I guess that strategy is out the window but plenty of cars out there and just have to be patient.

Its interesting to see that the car has no Carfax records of ever seeing a Porsche dealership for service, no mention of records and it went from one owner in California with 1,000 miles to this dealer in Florida with 37,000 miles. I would be wary unless those items could be provided.
I apologize if I sounded like an ahole earlier. My intention is not to low-ball you or your dealership. I figured that such a uniquely specc'ed car would have some sort of history and maybe a fellow rennlister would come out and say that that car was his/hers and was well taken care of during its time of ownership. Obviously I'm not the right person for the car but I do wish you the best and hope that a lucky person will be able to get the car at your asking price.

you didn't sound like an Ahole. The dealer is just fishing in this market, they might be in the car for way too much. Inventory is low and some dealers are just picking up whatever they can to stay afloat with cash rotation. They are a business and like any other business "you win some, you lose some". We take gambles everyday and let them take theirs. I think you're being a smart buyer and its one of the things I respect most about Porsche buyers... well majority of them =P

You don't owe anyone an apology. Can guarantee you that dealer has heard worse offers than yours and I doubt he/she is offended. Not like the offering price was a helluva a bargain that you lowballed just for kicks. Best of luck with the search, trust me, you will eventually find a car you like at a price you can justify. Just have to move quickly when the chance crops up.
