Ridiculous to pay a $600k markup considering the closest equivalent that preceded the black series (the GTR) traded at or below MSRP plus they have steep depreciation.

our local dealer only wants a 200k ADM lol. I don't see these cars doing like the SLS. The doors are everything.

Please don't give Porsche any more really stupid ideas

I wonder if their mentality is whoever buys it will be able to brag that they paid the highest ADM?

https://www.charlottemclaren.com/201...ano-c-1601.htm

Not as crazy where they started this car. They had it at $499k for several weeks....even current pricing is beyond delusional. They used to price everything really well...right at market or maybe even a couple grand below, but about 12 months ago the throw crazy prices on everything to start and then come down. Maybe it works 1 in 10 times, who knows.

the previous AMG GT was the GTR Pro which was around $220k msrp and used ones sell for right around there now.

The only reason I can think of this ridiculous markup is the 2014 SLS Black Series is now selling for around $550k if you can find one.

I always thought the GTR Pro was a $23k package for the GTR and was not a separate model? Similar to the Weissach Package on the .2 RS or the Touring Package on the .2 GT3?

But I think the reason the SLS Black Series sells for that money because it marked the end of the NA V8 for an AMG Mercedes, there aren’t a lot of them, and they did away with the gull-wing doors which I think some people like. There’s a reason why the coupe SLS’s command a premium over the convertibles and it’s because of the doors.

I agree and initially the SLS BS did depreciate from it’s original MSRP. Nobody knew that normally aspirated engines would be phased out so quickly. No previous Black Series has appreciated much if at all until just recently.

It will be interesting to watch what happens with the CLK63 and C63 Black Series cars as time goes on.

As you mentioned, only recently have those 2 cars begun to see a significant uptick with several cars trading hands near or exceeding their original MSRP (condition and miles pending, of course).

Also has full Dundon system with plenum but I have the original exhaust parts still too. Full PPF on the whole car and brake calipers rebuilt with titanium pucks (overkill for sure). Just installed new Cup 2s a couple weeks ago and new brake pads at that time as well. Did the 2 year service in March. MSRP was $245k. Has BBI half cage and P1 design seat inserts (still have ones that came with the car originally) and Ed's bolster covers. BBI wheels as well and no, don't have the originals anymore. VIN WP0AF2A92KS165356. PM if you are desperate for the best color they offered.

Honest opinion. What is my car worth in todays market? I'm seriously thinking of selling (since I have a 992 GT3 coming and have several other Porsche's too). Thinking of trying a McLaren or Ferrari. YOLO. haha.

The SLS black series also looks MUCH better in general. It is a very fine looking thing indeed.
