Why are tourings going for $50K over MSRP in the last few weeks??
Do people that decided the 992 is ugly and now they really want the 991.2 instead willing that much over list???
Don't you all think that once allocations hit and the current 991.2 owners want to upgrade to the new car, the market will see a lot more 991.2's and prices will come back to earth?
In short yes especially if the new touring has the supposed back seats and manual. I think everyone has a fear of missing out and are making speculative irrational purchases.
We already know there will be a manual. No idea about back seat. It seems prices are up across the board, but the Touring is higher than others. Time will tell. Maybe people are realizing just how good they are and there is only a little over 700 here in the U.S. Maybe they are not thrilled with the 992. Not for me to speculate what’s behind this uptick. Fun to watch from the sidelines.

Same. Watching the prices of tourings is like watching $GME and $AMC in the last few days. Luckily I want winged and PDK. The least desirable of the bunch.
PS. If anyone knows anyone selling .2 White, Chalk, or Silver, PDK, PCCB, LWBS, 10k or more miles (Higher mileage is fine). Pass it along.

that's a very tall ask with 10k miles and no buckets. msrp had to have been close to 170 i think ? i guess the touring market is lifting the winged market up now... or at least sellers are testing the waters.
I think there’s very little to not like about the 991.2, and most seem to think it’s a modern day classic. Whereas the new one, although pretty nice, has that RoboCop rear end, piano black, fake gauges, and particulate filter.
