I have been fielding some trade offers on my '19 GT3 6spd. I am the one to drive my car guilt free and not worry about fair depreciation but at the same time I think its fair to want a reasonable value out of my car when I go to sell it.
My question to you all is based on recent market trends, is a 9k miles 5 month old GT3 really worth $40k off MSRP? I was offered $140k for my GT3. If yes, I'll be damned lol.
I’d have to pay someone to tow away my 30+k mile 2015 GT3. When I get to 300+k miles, it will be less than worthless and, I’ll still be paying taxes (vehicle registration fees) to keep it running.

Porsche Tucson has one with 8k miles that they just lowered the price to 149k. Actual selling price will be lower.
Porsche Browwrd has one eith 5k miles asking 151k.
so yes be happy with 140k cause as soon as the next gt3 is announced- values will go lower.
Those numbers are meaningless without the context of original MSRP for that particular car.
'151k' could be a car that's 7K over MSRP of a stripper or 60k off MSRP of a heavily loaded PTS car.
Porsche Chandler has a White GT3 manual with 3k miles and spec is almost perfect. Asking $159k for a $175k MSRP car. So wouldn't surprise me if dealers are offering $30-40k under MSRP (and even more for bloated spec cars). $140k doesn't sound out to lunch. Probably turn around and sell for $150-155k net after concessions and CPO.

I say keep the car and enjoy it.... the .2 GT3 is still on that depreciating slope especially in the early years. ALL of them.... manuals and FALs included. Tourings and PTS too.... all of them.
Here's the latest Manheim wholesale results and trend..... since there's not enough 2019 GT3s that have gone thru Manheim yet, I bet the dealer gave you 2018 digits (I plugged in 9k miles to reveal the projected MMR) as usual to lowball the client at first try.
OP just wait until early spring. always a buyers market in fall and winter. now is a great time to buy but not sure why you would sell now unless you really have to.
9k miles in 5 months. You clearly have been enjoying it.
Too much enjoyment in a short amount of time isn't good either..... you tend to get bored sooner.

I was going to keep the GT3 for at least a year because I approximated I'd put ~10k miles on it to get it out of my system and move on to an RS but 10k miles greeted me 6 months too early lol.

As I mentioned above, I was planning on moving on to an RS after some seat time in the GT3. In fact, last week I did find a perfectly specd low MSRP RS with <500 miles and was trying to make a deal happen. The funny thing is my dealer still wants $10k over for the used RS meanwhile he is lowballing the crap out of my GT3 haha.

That seems about right. TBH I was expecting a hit of ~$20k within the first 6 months. Given my GT3 is a no nonsense spec with the right options, I wasn't expecting it to dip ~23% of the MSRP. oh well
You all paying ADMs for these cars learned a very valuable lesson. I’m actually glad this is happening because I think this lesson is the only way to educate people so that they don’t repeat this ADM stupidity next generation.
High end car market is plummeting. Economic concern plus a massive increase in both the supply of cars as well as their sticker prices is contributing to current market.
The good thing is while it hits you on the selling end, it also helps on the buying end so it should balance out.

This particular discussion revolves around drop in prices with respect to MSRP.
Another data point, I just traded my PTS slate grey 991.2 6MT for 155k, MSRP was 175k, miles were around 2500, leather, Full LEDs, no FAL
I was getting offers from 145k to 155k
Market is saturated now, most big dealers have them sitting on lots
The days of the 991.1 GT cars are over, they satisfied demand and jacked up the MSRP’s
In the end if you like your car, keep it and enjoy it, if you don’t sell it and move on...ain’t nothing in life fo free
