Pardon me for not reading the entire thread but isn't Champion the dealership whose owner/founder was killed recently in a terrible speedboat accident?

Wonder if that created an opportunity to exploit?

Accident was not in a moving boat.

Can't say a correlation between the two at this point.

I hope the balance of the victimized group receive a fair deal from Champion.
Did you get this GT3RS allocation in writing? If so, what document did you receive from Champion?

The timing though is "ironic "......

I know there may be some good feelings on your end being made whole, but I'd for sure get the allocation assignment and deposit reimbursementn/credit in writing.

I’d get my prior deposit back, and this time not make a deposit of more than $2k.

I’m glad it worked out, you should add an update to your first post.

One question, does this mean Champion has 25 allocations for GT cars to distribute?

That's great to hear. Congrats. The GT3 RS is a pretty nice compromise, IMHO.

Aside from the good news posted above, there is a LONG way to go for 25+ victims. I'd suggested calling their attorney Roy Diaz ASAP and also being represented by one as well.

Whatever promises they make, get them in writing.

This story is far from over and will drag on a long time ....

Also, if anyone wants to share how far back they've been dealing with Shiraaz and how long ago they make a deposit into the Champion Autosports account feel free to reach out here. This isn't something that he just started a month a ago. There are guys who I know that have had cars delivered already this past summer that had deposits made into his shill account long ago. Also, the numerous brokers who funneled buyers to him. There's a deeper story.

* also, numerous lurkers have reached out thanking everyone for their efforts here. there is a large silent group who feel someone is on their side.

After all, Shiraaz wasn't scamming soccer moms with Cayenne's.

not a whole lot, imho. the status quo was profitable for dealer and porsche corporate alike. not much teeth behind their lip service.

while i do think the GT3T was a thumb in the eye for 911R "investors" from porsche, the driving force behind that submodel offering was pure profitability.

i think the allocation system could be made better/fairer. and yes, i agree, flippers will simply find new ways to circumvent the system, but that isn't a valid reason to not at least try. this hubub was an egg on the face of PCNA, but i think when it blows over, it will be business as usual.

Conjecture on my part: The $2.5M are long gone, meaning he most likely spent them a long time ago. All these POS do the same; Madoff, Rothstein, Shapiro, etc...they spend it as quickly as it comes in.
