Also noticed this (6K mile 2018). A droplet on the line fitting (note that that section does not rotate with the engine). It kind of looks like it might be coming from the O-rings that seal the fitting to the crank. Dried oil gunk on the diffuser looks pretty old...

Yep take it in and they'll replace the oil line and associated seals under warranty. DO NOT wipe off any of the oil drip/gunk as Porsche needs to see proof.

What is it with Porsche and leaking lines? 997 GT3s also had issues with their coolant lines (granted not same). But this is really bad. The problem with this type of issue is it usually highlights a weakness in the design/engineering of such components and have a high chance of recurring. Before you know it, this becomes a “thing” to address with this generation GT3 as the pinning of coolant lines became the “thing” to address on 997s.

I’ve never seen people post evidence of more than a tiny drop from this particular issue (that is captured by the tray), unlike 997 that dumped gallons of coolant (or enough to cause accidents)...

Finally got into the dealer for oil change, brake fluid in prep for hopeful trackdays this summer.

Asked them to fix the leak too. No issues other than that they needed to order the parts. 2020 Cayenne loaner collecting dust in the garage...

Is the common oil leak towards the front of the diffuser or towards the back (rear of the car)?

I checked in on mine this weekend, and can't tell if this is oil or car cleaning chemicals making this mess. Please see photo attached.

I cleaned it up, and will be driving for the next few weeks without washing the car, and will check again.

Oil level has not changed.

Toward the back -- this is the rear line leak dripping (presumably, not actually looking at your car):

Good eye - thank you!

Will check on this spot again after a few days of spirited driving

To add to this - you don't need to remove the diffuser or put the car up on ramps to check the oil line for leaks. If you bend down behind the rear passenger side tire (position your head just behind the cats) and use a decently powerful flashlight, you can see the oil line and any potential leaks.

I dropped off the gt3 with the dealer yesterday after confirming I had oil residue on the inlet pipe. I received a phone call this morning telling me that it wasn’t considered a leak and it was normal further stating Porsche will not warranty the item.

Should I take it to a different service center? Call Porsche NA? Leave it alone? Suggestions?

Based on my experience, it's not considered a "leak" and a warranty item until it's dripping onto the diffuser. If it's just a slight residue on the inlet pipe, as you've stated, wait until it starts to pool on the diffuser and then take it back.

seems I am also bit with this bug. My 2000 mile 991.2 GT3 has what looks like the same leak. A fresh looking oil drop on the bottom of the crank pulley plus dirty oil higher up the engine from slinging and a soaked engine pan.

I don’t see Porsche denying this as warranty work. That’s a lot of oil for 2000 miles
